Fed's Kashkari against rate hikes until after 2023, wants to kill the dot plot - Reuters

    https://seekingalpha.com/news/37077...23-want-to-kill-the-dot-plot#comment-89260532

OMG are all of them going to come out 1 by 1 to give different views? A lot can change in 6 months let alone 24 months, and policy will keep evolving anyway. What's the point of conflicting speculation by FED members? Just keep quiet or learn to give non-answers like Powell. Or muzzle bullard and only allow kashkari to speak.

AMZN has been forming a solid 10-month long base, closed at 3487.
it is at the high tension point, at the top of an ascending triangle, w an ERS in late July,
i have a bullish outlook---looking for a pop---goin into the late July ERS

constructed these 2 CALL spreads, using Aug expiration
    • buying a CALL debit spread
      • + 3,650 strike call
      • - 3,850 strike call, costing me $49.85,
    to be partially financed by
    • selling a CALL credit spread
      • + 3,950 strike
      • - 3,850 strike, collecting a premium of $13.75,
net/net, my cost on these 2 spread is $34.10, which is my max risk.

my max profit is $165.90, to be realized should AMZN close @ 3,850 on Aug expiration

w IV of above 60, the option prices on RBLX---stock price has been declining ~ 20% since beginning of Jun---are still expensive.
MACD is ~ at its nadir. RBLX is trading 83, ERS will be `~5 Aug

sold this 10-pt bullish PUT spread, using Aug expiration

    • bto 75 strike PUT, sto 85 strike PUT; collecting $5.05 in advance, defining my max risk to be $4.95

ur ~ 5 wk early, i think that it is time to play for the forthcoming 7-27 ERS

for ~ a month, trading actionhas been hovering around the 20 dma, trying to bounce off the low trading channel

    yesterday, it reached an agreement w Spielberg for more contents for streaming;
think that this & the ERS, most probably, will be the catalysts for a pop

w NFLX trading ~ 497, constructed this 20-pt bullish PUT spread, using 30 Jul expiration
    • bto 485 strike PUT, sto 505 strike PUT---collecting $10.11 premium in advance---defining my max risk to be $9.89

Jerome Powell: Fed won't hike rates preemptively

    • Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell repeats the central bank's stance that it won't raise rates on the fear that the unemployment has fallen too low, according to his testimony at a Congressional hearing before the Coronavirus Crisis Subcommittee.
    • "A pretty substantial part or perhaps all," of the rise in prices are a result of the economy re-opening, Powell said, in describing the current high rate of inflation.
    • He said the current rise doesn't reflect a tight economy, though it is lasting longer than he expected.
    • Update at 2:51 PM ET: Powell defends the emergency lending facilities that ended up not getting a lot of use. "A backstop is better than making loans," he said.

SDGR's ERS will be on ~4 Aug.
I see a handle to a CWH formation, awa a "golden cross" w the 20 dma protruding thru the 50 dma
    [IMG]

    currently trading ~77, 38% retracement level is @ 81, 50% ~ 88, 62% ~92; think that SDGR will at least retrace 50% B4 the Aug ERS

sold a bullish 10-pt PUT spread, using Aug expiration
    • 85/75 put spread----collecting $5.05 premium in advance---defining my max risk of $4.95

For long term hold, any views on amzn vs googl? i've been holding both, but was considering reducing googl for amzn. amzn just seems better run right now with better growth prospects and more aggressive acquisitions. Any views on the 2 from a fundy perspective?

PERI is my smaller ad tech play (APPS is biggest), up 12% today despite no news. First bought at $12, sold at $24 then bought back at $15 based on this author's articles. His PT is $24, gonna hold till it gets to $24 again.

Kids. I do this for a living and have done so for 25+ years. This is my wheelhouse and I'm more than happy to give advice or recommend other advisors. And I feel the same way as I do with restaurants in Houston.
