jeez. even ootm call options are expensive. i think i'll just do nothing today and watch my port bleeeeeed.
Blackjack and hookers. My wife's account is where we keep all our "safe" stocks as well as our ROTH etc. My account is for the memes and funds my casino bankroll.
Digital Turbine acquires AdColony for $400M https://seekingalpha.com/news/3667004-digital-turbine-acquires-adcolony-for-400m up 11%, probably overreaction, i wouldn't chase here, but keep on watchlist for dips, looks like its going to be rocky for awhile...
Your story sounds a LOT like mine. Especially the recent stress/harder to enjoy. And instead of Porsches I buy classic Corvettes because they're easier to fix and cheaper to maintain. And cheaper overall. Lulz. But my whole intention of trading more in my non-retirement "gambling" accounts was to capitalize on a bull market. I feel like I accomplished that. I hope it continues. But if it doesn't. I made enough fast money to feel satisfied.
I'm not sure we have the case studies to determine anything anymore. Immediate access to good learning information is unprecedented. The stock market's tie to momentum in real-time is unprecedented. Someone Tweets an emoji of a bone and Doge goes up 5000%.
Just noticed I cant buy ARKF on Merrill Edge. That's kind of wild. And surprising. Anybody know WHY? Does YOUR brokerage allow it? Maybe this is why its price is lagging the other ARKs.
You guys are talking about Porsches and Corvettes and here I am working on my 'classic' 1990 honda civic.
I'll meet you at Miami Subs tonight, we can race down Westheimer on our way to HWY 6, or if you prefer the Beltway I'm cool with that too. Lemme refill my bottle and fix my Mugen kit first, also gotta swap out my 16s for some race slicks! If you couldn't already tell I LOVED my 90 CRX back in the day! So...BJ and hookers and now a reference to a 1990 Honda? Something tells me you just might be Asian lol
My DAILY driver is a near-20 year old Toyota Tacoma and I'm proud of that (and I hate trucks). It wont flood. It wont freeze. It wont die. It just keeps on driving.
I like how we've gone from talking about lambos to talking about how cheap everybody is. "No, really... I'm not a gambler - I'm financially responsible, dammit!" lol
Interesting acquisition and good for AdColony as they've been on their deathbed for awhile (I was a client in the past). I'm not sure why DT would pay that much for AdColony tbh as they probably could have gotten them for $100M or lower. My guess is the deal was done through mostly DT stock which is probably super overvalued in this market so a good use of capital if that's the case.
People were buying $40+ call options on $200 GME the other day. LOL. Yes. Again, "long term". Nobody can tell when a really rich guy is going to decide to manipulate a crypto or post an ice cream cone that translates to "omggobuy!!". I don't consider that "long term".
