FROM Asset Backed Securities Conference in Miami FL, panel saying that the Alt A downgrades will cause some regional banks and insurance companies to blow up because of their leverage. Im shorting KRE at the next run up. More turmoil is yet to come.
I'm still not sold on the oil bounce yet ... so far the downtrend line has not been broken at all. In fact, this bounce right now is no different from any of the weak bounces we've seen in the past that were followed by another precipitous drop. I'm holding on to my (reduced) short position ... but if it rises another $2 or so then I think it would be time to close that position.
I'm not going with anyone's prediction. I'm already long on AAPL and plan on holding it long-term. Just curious of what others' views are.
Then you've already answered your question. There aren't a ton of tech stocks I'm gung-ho about right now. I did buy some Microsoft a while ago, though. AAPL, I have no idea to be honest - especially when these things are getting traded intraday like crack monkeys.
