buy HIMX, wearable technology is about to be the next big thing and they control 75% of the LCOS market. It could easily go from $9.40 to $20 and if google glass and other companies like Microsoft(a customer also) make augmented reality goggles HIMX could push $30-40 IMO in 12-18 months

The 52 week high was $11.49 so its 20% off the highs, very low short interest and I've been mentioning it since it was $5.70 a few months ago

It's just whether or not you believe wearable tech is the future.....if you do, they already have all the big companies:google, microsoft, sony, samsung and many more as customers, and with all the patents they hold its not hard to see they could easily be bought out,

They also pay a 2.7% dividend

If google glass is a hit the stock will fly, I personally think it will fly anyways just on the hype around a google glass release

forgot to mention oculus rift might be the biggest gaming system EVER after its release next year and HIMX is in that as well

    Is HIMAX The Next Intel

Remember the market cap is only $1.6B......Intel is $117B

HIMAX has plenty of room to grow, could easily be a $5-8B company and make you 3-5x your investment today

Taiwan Semiconductor is a $26B company for reference, so the ability to grow is there with LCOS

How many 52-week highs do you think Amazon, Apple, Priceline, MasterCard, etc. have had in the past few years? If you're "investing" and not "daytrading", I'm not sure if a 52-week high should be the main criteria for buying funds and stocks.

Every day I feel like this market is coming closer and closer to a big correction. My believe is we are very close. Most of my setups are short nowadays, Ive set up a bunch of them today.

amel.....everyone has been saying this since 14,000 then at 15,000 and now at 16,000. Sure there are small hiccups but there won't be a big correction till we have significant tapering and a serious rise in the rates of CD's and Bonds bc the reality is nowadays you have a lot of rich older people who have nowhere to go with their money. Seriously, my parents alone have invested millions into the stock market this year when THEY'VE NEVER OWNED STOCKS. Why? Well bc lots of CD's they had have matured and they obviously weren't going to go into some awful CD at current rates. They own lots of small businesses around town and my mom is a neurologist so they weren't looking for any more real estate. I got them into very basic stuff like XOM at $86, KO @ $37, MO @ $33, and PM at $85 and of course I helped my uncle who had the same issue.

There is a huge group of older people with piles of cash and nowhere to go but into bernanke's stock market. I don't really mind the ups and downs bc its really about the dividend growth stream they're getting combined with a growing dividend and new shares via a DRIP but the real reason there will be no correction in the short term is bc there is too much new money coming into the market bc it has nowhere to go......look at mutual fund inflows.....thats your key

Picked up some NUAN today after the washout. Icahn is involved with it and he just got 2 of his guys on the board recently. It's a part of my long term speculative stuff along with HLF, HIMX, DSX, and ELY.

You're long HLF? I get the feeling that Icahn is in it just to hurt Ackman. I wouldn't be surprised if Icahn unloads his position soon.

The Stiritz stake in HLF is very interesting too. Additionally, they are still showing strong growth and they aren't going to get shut down. Also, Icahn just recently added members to the board of HLF aka he isn't dumping his stake soon.

just bought GLUU, glu mobile is gonna be HUGE, their deer hunter game was the best app released this year. They recently inked a deal with kim kardashian for a game, tell me her 20M twitter followers won't download that, and their CEO thinks google glass will revolutionize gaming and their app Spellista is one of the first on glass already.

GLUU could easily be a 10 bagger from $268M to $2.6B in a few years.

also GLUU is about to release a james bond game and a robocop game AND Mark Gomes who I follow on seeking alpha says it will triple and could be a 100x gainer yes you heard correctly he thinks $1,000 invested today could be worth $100k.........now this would be far-fetched except that he's been dead on for all his picks this year

1.mark called on HIMX to triple from $3 to $10.....it did
2.mark called on GSAT to triple from $.55 its $1.80 today

    Mark Gomes on GLUU

Mark Gomes on HIMX before it ran up

    Mark Gomes on GSAT

I think GLUU is worth a look for the speculative portion of your portfolio at a $250M market cap Mark Gomes says this in his piece

Glu is one of the only companies I can more intelligibly comment on in this thread. If you're listening to Mark Gomes based upon what he said in that article, I can only say you invest based on speculation without due diligence or you have a lot of blind admiration of his past calls. Nothing he said is convincing, nor does it frame the state of the industry properly. Deer Hunter may have hit top 15 in the grossing charts, but only for a short period of time (appstore top grossing charts take into account momentum, not just full totals). The guy mentions ZNGA and GLUU but fails to mention how both companies have huge turnover, lag behind in mobile, rising costs of user acquisition, lack of viral channels, haven't produced largely profitable mobile games, and are getting beat by foreign competitors like GREE, mobage, or non-listed companies Kabam, King, etc. in the mobile market.

Glu is not a new rising company and their monetization mechanics/products have always lagged behind competitors. Being one of the first to experiment on Google Glass won't mean squat, other than it being something they can name drop it in BD meetings.

Whether or not it is a good play based on technical indicators or financials, I don't know. It may very well be. But his article is full of bullshat analogies and things that show no real insight. The link to Brandon Osbourne's article on the same subject has more worthwhile content (but still somewhat vacuous).

crossover that may be but do you really think a line of games based on

    james bond

    robocop

    kim kardashian

will be unsuccessful??? I think the kardashian one is huge bc it gets young girls interested in the companies line. I think a james bond game will also be a success.

Mark Gomes may not be a writer you care much for, but I've made alot of money following him into HIMX,GSAT,ATTU,QADA this year. He hasn't let me down yet so I'm gonna follow him once more

    crossover when you say

what's your take on mark gomes addressing that specific point by saying

It seems like he is so bullish on them BECAUSE of their new profit strategy and overall he thinks GLUON will be big. Many analysts have $5+ price targets on it

They have this saying here on Wall Street that everyone thinks they are a genius in a bull market. How did you fare in 2008, eddie?

ok I get it, everyone has their opinion but the man has clearly demonstrated that he knows his stuff

himx, gsat, attu all tripled.....he can't just spew garbage or he'll ruin his reputation. Secondly he put in the time and effort to explain why he thinks it will grow exponentially

    1.improved profitability per game
    2.great hires for upper management
    3.great portfolio of current games
    4.great portfolio of upcoming games(james bond,robocop,kardashian)

so permabear, aside from those catalysts......yes the company is overvalued, but when you consider QE is not stopping anytime soon.....its not any more overvalued than tesla, amazon, netflix, yelp, linkedin, facebook, etc

and QE isn't gonna stop....how long have they discussed the taper for??? Everytime they do the market panics for a few days then its ho-hum ho-hum.....our hands are tied, we can't taper bc we will reveal the real economy which is a dumpster fire
