I don't think its going anywhere near where it was in June in the next few months. Id be wary of AAPL and companies that produce more luxury sorts of products. With the economy still smelling like a recession and the credit crunch, sales would take a hit.
Down at least 400 tomorrow. I would have much rather the market been up like 120 today and the next day and the next day. Looks like somebody chunked that dead cat high into the air. It's going to come down with a splat.
Damn, I bought the **** out of some AAPL at open today. As well as Activision and RIMM. in my uh... fantasy stock league...
Yeah I had a buddy at work pondering the same thing. I bet we get hit big tomorrow. 930 pts? That's r****ded.
I'm guessing this news came out after close today. So I guess we might see a continued boost in banking stocks tomorrow?
I think the likely scenario is that the rally continues into tomorrow, and then on Wednesday the first set of earnings starts to come out and the fun is over.
Not necessarily - will this dilute common shares? But then I gave up on trying to predict this market and am just averaging back in for the longer term. Keep in mind JPM's earnings are the day after tomorrow, so be careful if you're looking to buy it.
i wanted to sell when the stock was hovering in the $126 range, however ******* ING DIRECT SHAREBUILDER WEBSITE IS COMPLETELY ******* FROZEN. can't access anything on the damn website, and this is the exact same problem i was having yesterday. now i'm waiting on hold to make my trade, and there's no telling how long this wait will be. this is a load of ****, and i will be looking for another brokerage site after this... absolutely ridiculous.
TD Ameritrade is awesome. (Really, it is. I was blown away by how much superior it is to Scottrade.) Plus you get 500 free trades to start with. If you do switch, please email me so I can get a referral credit ... thanks!
lol. I know the feeling. You're still up around $10.40 for the day as I type this. I just put in stop limit orders on a bunch of the stuff I bought recently. I didn't like the sell-offs since pre-market. If it goes down, which I expect it to do within the next few days, I'll take my winnings and wait for another day.
Just curious, has anyone used TradeKing before? how is it? the commission rates for tradeking is much lower than ameritrade.
at least ING waived their 29.95 phone trade fee for me... sold around $122-$123. nice little 45% gain... feels good actually making a decent profit after getting slammed for the past 4-6 months.
