Whoever mentioned those price targets must be balls deep in MNKD. The options market isn't indicating anything close to that kind of move. The May 2014 12 calls are offered at 69 cents as of the close. If $27.50-$45 was even a remote possibility then they would have a lot more strikes and those 12's would be bid higher.

That said....you can create a good call spread due to the volatility in MNKD. Maybe buy the May 2014 7 calls and sell the May 2014 12 calls for about 75 cents total.

The options market seems to be indicating it will fail too.

what were ML and BoA calling on Netflix when it was at $80,$150,$225,$300 and now $400???

I'm not too concerned with what that big guys think they're off so much, one company called HIMX a sell at $7.50 a few days before it shot up from to $10.50

I just read that afrezza was resubmitted for approval from the FDA and my mom is a neurologist and i just asked her and she said one of her reps was talking about she wanted to switch companies to be involved with this recently so i don't know if thats a good or bad sign

Well that was a wild ride. Bank of America came out and gave it a $150 fair value and another firm came out with a sell rating on it too.

I still stand by my statement that TSLA will top $200 post earnings and guidance. The model X coming next year has 8,000 pre-orders. Tesla has a supply issue not a demand issue. I truly believe Tesla will be $1000 within the decade, the technology and patents they have are valuable and they will be licensing battery technology to other car companies. Look at the new i3 bmw its a dump it cant even go 100 miles.

Oh and I was totally absent minded earlier with the NFLX valuation. A lot of people try to value it along the lines of HBO for what that's worth. HBO is worth somewhere around the $15 bln range.

For the last few days I have gotten short a lot of products. TSLA and NFLX shorts have worked out. AAPL and BIDU have not worked out just yet, but I'm holding them a bit longer and will hopefully get a chance to get out of the red in them by early next week. I've gone short TLT this morning along with IWM. I'm looking for a pull back this or next week to get out of shorts and go long again.

congrats on a netflix short finally working out....people have been "short" since $60 and they were wrong all along the way to $400 then finally they were right....bravo bravo.

Tesla shorts are doing ok on weak hands selling before earnings, weak hands that are up big this year mind you. Look at the $245 nov call action, some people are betting big on this bad boy and musk. I hope you don't hold your short through earnings bc startups with growing sales truly defy the odds come earnings season.

Why would you short apple before they released a great new ipad? After they announced ramping up 5s production? and before the holiday season? Plus cook said they have lots of exciting things coming? The time to short apple was months back not now with carl icahn on board he's gonna force them to do alot of things and raise that share price

That TLT is a tough one to short now. Hard to see much downside imo. What price are you looking for on AAPL? It had that good rip down yesterday.

So CPRX has gone from its nadir of 1.5 back to 2.0 today; theoretically if you bought in at that point you just made 30% returns in 2 days. Nuts. I bought back at 1.88 and still am kicking myself for doing so.

Keep in mind that it was at 3.4 before the fall. Shorts are definitely probably driving the rise, but they also probably were driving the fall too. I'm in it longterm just because I believe in the validity of both the short term and the long term drugs in their pipeline.

It might still have stormy waters on the near horizon, but I'm going to stick in it until actual news comes out regarding its phase III trial for the first drug and phase II trial for the second. Until then this is just market manipulation by some savvy hedge funders and their lackey journalist who really should be in jail, since he makes a killing off of slandering such businesses.

Don't blame me if it doesn't work out in the short term, but I'm still long on the company.

Netflix: Could careless who was long when it was 60 or who finally got it right at 400. It's a swing trade and I'm not married to it.

Tesla: I already got over 50% return on capital on that trade so definitely will be out long before earnings.

Apple: I was short a few months ago and long since then also. I took my profits and ran. Now I'm short again and don't really care what Cook says. I see some resistance in the 530 area and am looking to exploit it. I'm not married to the position, but if I did have a long term position in them it would be to the short side and not the long. The continued price compression in their primary money makers and loss of overall market share would leave me worried about the long term growth on the stock price.

My TLT short was small and has a defined loss so I'm comfortable with it if it turns out to be a loser. I'm just looking at this recent tear up and looking to make some money on the pull back. Also the volatility in regards to the last year is very low so I'm looking for a vol expansion to help me out in that one.

With AAPL I'm looking to get out in the 505 area it hit yesterday if I get a chance again before earnings. If not I'm going to take the loss and not risk whatever happens with earnings.

Cool....yeah I guess that TLT is due for some kind of pullback considering the longer term downtrend. I hadn't even been paying attention to the vol on it either.

I've been hopping in some NUGT lately for a little longer term play on that GDX chart. They might continue to suck again, but GLD looks like it might be able to rally some from here and those guys are pretty blown out. Looks like they finally found some support to bounce from.
