I posted in another thread but HIMX seems to have an unlimited future if wearable computers take off. They have deals with google, sony, microsoft and more. Google just bought 6.2% of the company 2 weeks ago to solidify the deal they have to produce google glass. I read a piece saying it was the next intel. It's $6/share and pay a 4% dividend, it sounds to good to be true, but i cant find any flaws in it
Why is a growth technology company paying a dividend? Dividends only make sense for companies that have nothing better to do with their cash?
They weren't a hyper growth company till 2 weeks ago but once google bought a stake to solidify google glass production revenue estimates have doubled....and now they're gonna do Xbox one augmented reality goggles, tey were in the industry, but that industry never took off till now
Is anyone else following INO? Massive volumes, previously unknown but coming into view of investors with conferences up until december. The last bubble forming and pop was spurred by rumors of a merck partnership Now everyone is rallying around what news could be coming out over the next 3 months 100% gains likely just bc of increased positive sentiment from institutional investors becoming privy to the technology for the first time, 200% would take some big news
INO up 30% premarket on licensing deal news with Roche For hepB and prostate cancer vaccines Rodman and renshaw conference still to come later today. Stifel nicolaus later this wk. Aegis capital has hold on their rating right now, I can imagine that will change to strong buy soon and watch the floodgates open
SHLD has gone to plaid. Amazing we still have it easy to borrow. Let's hope this short trade works this time. HLF is getting ready to nuke Ackman too.
Sears Holding Company (SHLD) they've gone to plaid <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/NP6DXoNKITc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Meaning the stock has shot up an insane amount in the past few days. Basically, a short squeeze is going on with that stock right now. The easy to borrow comment has to deal with the ability of a trader to locate shares to short. I can explain the shorting process if you aren't familiar with it. Bill Ackman is short 20% of Herbalife (HLF). He put together a presentation awhile back and was basically betting that the government would shut them down for being a pyramid scheme. The govt doesn't really care and the stock has just recently moved to 52 week highs and is nearing all time highs. Further, it appears that Ackman was dead wrong with his thesis that they should be shut down.
If Ackman were half as smart as he thinks he is, he'd be Einstein. He shat the bed on JC Penny, also (I will of course acknowledge his successes over the years, but he comes across as a grade a dewsher)
He is gonna get ****ed on HLF. I mean he already is, but he is short about 20,000,000 shares from $48.58. He's down close to $400 million in a short position. I've been long HLF thru call options for awhile now and I really think this thing has potential to squeeze significantly higher just based on valuation. Plus a lot of very high profile guys have jumped on this stock long and the addition of William Stiritz is very intriguing due to his Ralcorp connection. If he decides to be stubborn like with JCP he could easily lose another billion or more for investors.
i learned about HIMX and DRYS from clutchfans.. does anyone else use SeekingAlpha? im watching HIMX, DRYS, INO, ERII, SZYM, BEAT, SRPT, HALO, for their high growth potential. there are others but I'm pretty sure about the prospects of these. long-long term like 15-20 yrs from now Nautilus Minerals is gonna be a winning lottery ticket if they can keep securing the rights to more and more seafloor ore deposits.
you asked me this at $88.. now that its at ~$160, I feel like its going to be coming down to 120-130 before (if) they start realizing big profits in 2016 when the genIII model comes out how do yall feel about TSLA?
