Dow went from being down 900 to being down 450 in less than a minute. The stock market is such a scam...
you ain't lying...i sold my ACAS holdings when it went down 15%. 10 mins later it was down over 20%. 30 minutes after that, it's only down 10%.
Exciting times! Haven't seen these kinda of volatility since March 09! Though I should've gotten out of Ford when it was 14 like I told myself, but noooooooo I wanna be just a little more greedy

By Elizabeth Stanton May 6 (Bloomberg) -- NYSE Euronext said “there were a number of erroneous trades” during an almost 1,000-point plunge in the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
There were some ridiculous things here. Accenture went from $40 to $0.01. I don't know how many shares were traded at that level, but whoever sold took a 100% loss for no reason, and whoever bought got an immediate 400,000% gain. There's got to be a better system in place to stop that, though I have no idea how it happened in the first place.
Aren't those decisions guided by machines that use algorithms to execute beyond human speeds? If a thousand of them independently came to the same conclusion, it'd magnify effect.
I'm pretty sure only the actual transactions that took place gets recorded, so yes, someone got pretty fricking lucky!
