TD Ameritrade is buying thinkorswim. I just hope they don't start charging money for the things TOS provides for free... that would suck. I <3 TOS.
Makes sense. I was curious how that worked - it just seems weird that the brokerage would take something out of your cash position.
I was thinking about opening a TOS account but I guess I won't have to now. Expect to be answering questions about the TOS platform in the near future

I stupidly got into SSO yesterday late.. I'm still thinking I should just hold through the end of the week to get off today's drop.. but we'll see..
I've been lucky and riding a short wave right now on some energy stocks. I don't feel knowledgeable in any of the choices I've made. Just lucky. But I'll take it.
My short-side accumulation read did better than I imagined. I just cashed those in and now am actually looking to buy one of the more stable financials for a short-term bounce.
If those who had sold short buy some to cover, we could rise a bit over the next few days. Not expecting anything significant in terms of a rally.
Apparently Jobs is stepping down as CEO!!! Focusing on his health. Holy crap! *EDIT* : Apparently he's stepping down until June at least.
Dangit I knew I should have shorted AAPL while I had the chance. They are going to murder that stock. That's OK. I'm perfectly content still sitting on the sidelines.
