after last night im reconsidering my position that women should ref men. I know, it wasnt only her but the officiating was just horrible. I hate to complain about the refs, b/c they always suck, but so far this year there hasnt been too many games where i thought "WTF are they calling". the atl game was fairly bad and last nights may be the most comically bad reffed game i've ever seen.
8 rotations that's the problem. If we play vspan in 4th q. I don't think we will lose. He can hold the ball and distribute it to others. Head and rafer have no idea to do when tmac not in. Best Rox: Tamc, yao, Rafer, B, Hys.....+ Head, Bonzi, Deke, Jeke, JH. Second Rox: Tamc, Rafer, B, JH, Deke....+Head, Bonzi Jeke, Hys, Third Rox: Yao, rafer, B, JH, Hys.....+head, bonzi, Jeke, Vspan. Fourth Rox: Rafer, B, Bonzi, Deke, JH, ....+ head, Jeke, Hys, Vspan, Jl3 ... We really need give vspan a try when Tmac and rafer not in. He is better than Head to handle the ball.
I motion to remove the emoticon from pryuen's posting window. I imagine anytime the board is running more slowly than usual, pryuen just made a flurry of condescending replies to someone. (I know this post compounded the problem. Sorry)
i disagree completely. i don't understand all these posts that want to grade the role players on what they do when t-mac or yao are out. we are a freaking good team with yao and t-mac playing and that's an inarguable fact. losing games to atlanta and boston isn't good, but it doesn't override the previous statement. what i see is that our role players are pretty consistent when atleast t-mac is healthy and aren't so much when they're asked to be more than what they are over the course of an entire game. they struggle to lead the team and create shots for themselves but if we're at full strength that's a non-issue. they can do it for tiny stretches when t-mac or yao are resting, and that's all they'll have to do. last night i called luther one of the worst players in the nba when he's not hitting but he is as consistent a 3-point shooter there is in the league when he's playing his role off t-mac and yao. battier isn't consistent? are you serious? he is consistently EXCELLENT on defense and as a complimentary player on offense he's been reliable on most nights to hit the open shot. your not gonna find an argument from me on rafer. unless we're playing in the playoffs without our two best players i have no idea why you're so negative on our chances. we've owned the spurs thus far and really should be 2-1 against dallas in the 3 games without yao. phoenix makes me uncomfortable but i love our chances as the underdog against the other two.
