This is what I'm talking about. Loss of perspective. It was a blowout. It was a pre-season game. Calm down. Wait for the real season to start.
You had an absolute Chandler-gasm every time one of the young Bulls had a good game last season. Spare us your bull****. Not a problem. What... a challenge like this and you thought you would not get it? Bottom line: A 7-foot-5 center with serious skills who just significantly changed the outlook of several who thought he was Shawn Bradley East is now going to be added to the Houston Rockets roster, and us fans should not be excited? Get real.
POTENTIAL franchise center. My mistake in my last post I called him a franchise center, but obviously know branded that in my other thousands of posts I called the guy a POTENTIAL franchise center. And that is on a team with a potential franchise PF, and a franchise PG and a powerful backcourt.
I don't think the giddiness is born of doubt but rather vindication. We've had to put up with the jokers in the media, NBA players, BBS trolls, and casual observers all dissing Yao. All we could do all summer is say, "Just you wait." The waiting is over and Yao has more or less sent those criticisms into the bleachers. I think it an appropriate reaction for his supporters to be a little giddy when he proves the doubters wrong.
You are the one that said Yao put up numbers that Eddy and Tyke have already done I'm just asking you to back up your statement.
Let us mourn in this painful time of despair. R.I.P. young G.B. The Death of Trollman Don't Worry - Ima pour out some Kris for ya!
It's obvious that gettinbranded gets off on getting into confrontations with Rockets fans. He can talk basketball, and post normally, but then he has to try to cause trouble, digging up articles that are negative about Ming just for the sake of getting into an argument, starting threads just to dismiss a good showing by Ming in the name of "objectivity", and claiming he doesn't create a "bandwagon" for his team's players even though the last year or so all he has done is brag about Chandler and Curry, and then do something stupid like yell "ban me", which is trollish in its own right. It's obvious by the title, him combining Yawn and Ming that he's trying to get a rise out of people. I didn't think so until he asked to be banned.
you said chandler-gasm!!!!! freakin funny Clutch... GB is being a Chicago homer, but his point that Yao still must prove himself is still out there. He did quiet some naysayers, but it will mean nothing come tip off in October. He will need to up his game to another level and all indications are he can...just need to see the progress...this was a great step and really gave us some peace for the next 6-8 weeks....it will be interesting to see if the US changes their defense of him or not....
Come on now. Jordan is GOD! If Jordan was on the Chinese team they would have won in a blowout. Yao made a difference just standing in the middle. Forget the stats (which are impressive enough against a bunch of all stars). The American guards were scared to just drive into the paint. Same goes for most of the big guys.
Plus, we are all just freakin bored this summer. Now Yao gives us a chance to post and be happy. Like this:
I just wish the season was starting so Yao would put all these haters to bed with dreams of rings Mark my words 2 months into the season EVERYTEAM will wish Yao was on there team and there fans too!!!!!!!
Yep, Ming still has plenty of room to grow, but he will be a force in the middle defensively and rebounding wise and that is what this team needs. His offensive game will come along, and we're still going to need Cato to play 20 to 25 minutes per night to keep Ming fresh. I think the way GB put it, basically antagonizing Rockets fans on this BBS, and making his point in a mocking and condescending way was begging for trouble. And then asking to be banned? Good luck on the Bulls message board.
He did most of the damage in the first quarter when the game was still quite close and the US players were still pumped up to "beat him up."
Ming was on the court with 4 other guys who couldn't make it in the CBA, going against a full squad of NBA All Star talent, all of which were gunning for him, and he still got 13 points 11 rebounds 3 assist 3 steals 6 blocks He got this with no pro level guard feeding him the ball, and no pro level coach designing plays for him, and no pro level front line to provide muscle to back him up. He basically got those numbers playing 5 on 1 ball against some of the best young talent in the NBA. Think about it....... Raven
Heck, even ESPNews thought so. Right under the pictures was: USA vs. China Exhibition Game Yao Ming vs. NBA Players. RR
Hope you don't condone this kind of behavior to your children? Enjoy the ESPN boards, that's were you belong anyway.
yao ming is unstoppable on one on one matchup with a nba center. that a good sign. They probably will have to double team him
