I think Durant, Lebron and Kawhi are the only 3 players in the league that I would be happy with on this team now that Harden has left. Not even Curry could fill the void left. We have been spoiled for 8+ years watching him from a bench player to one of the best in the league and despite not winning the chip (or even getting to the championship) it's going to be tough to expect this team to win anytime soon. Oladipo, Wall and Wood seem good but I think it's really time to start over. We did the mediocrity thing in the late 2000s with the 13th and 14th picks and I'm ready for a fast rebuild.
When your star player seeks to kill your team, there's just not anything you can do about it but prep for the rebuild and hope your next star is a better person.
mane we have 3 allstars and you would be tanking? look at miamis talent last year and they almost won it if they could have done it then half of the teams in the league can especially rockets
lol yes nba fans are perfectionists and such players appear in draft once in 10 years.. so basically you need always be losing on purpose
gear up and ready the tank for deployment a core of Wall, Wood, and Oladipo if he’s here past this season won’t be doing a damn thing
it is damn sad. you had the foundation of a title team less than 3 years ago. then the obvious has all happened and fcked it all up. These are the results you get bc of all that. Pathetic indeed. Get used to it thought. years of losing are on deck. But this is what a number of folks around here wanted anyway.
the good news is now after the hyena-faced owner has already royally fukked up the team so bad, his idiot son can't possibly fukk it up any worse. better days are ahead
If the Rockets are smart they can really minimize the length of the rebuild. Obviously getting a franchise player out of this draft is the best chance they have to get the hardest part out of the way. But then they have all of those other picks to trade for available players (or to trade up in the draft) and dont forget about Wall & Gordon's expiring deals, those could be very valuable in a few short seasons. There is no reason that the Rockets cant be on the upswing by the 23-24 season. They just need to be smart and a little luck.
very doubtful. not sure what your definition of upswing is but as far as being legitimately relevant in this league, it's going to take much longer than that
LOL. Ya'll really need to stop. Would Houston be better off with a better person over these 8 years and into the future?
Well yeah. If Harden had been a better person, the Rockets might have won a championship or two by now. Unfortunately they got a massively talented player who happened to be absolute garbage as a person so they are facing a complete rebuild. It is what it is.
from 1999 to Harden’s 1st season, the Rockets made the playoffs a whopping 5 times and won just 1 playoff series expect more of the same post-Harden
And with less hates from the media that those weak minded Rockets fans kept crying about in the last 8 years.
he’s 1 of the delusional ones who thought this team was actually a contender this year and is butthurt as hell
