Wow. You really get off on Tmac's nuts, eh friend?

On the topic, hard impressed with the recent wins since Tmac's return. He wasn't the reason we beat the Spurs, no need to mention the Sonics. Today he played pretty good. But one thing is for sure, since his return, we're back to playing Gundy ball. So much for implementing him into the motion offense, more like the implementing the rockets into the Tracy McGrady offense.

You're missing the point almost entirely. It's NOT about him filling up the stats sheet and being showered in personal glory...that's not at all the point I am making.

    OK, I give up...

Sorry, second statement was directed more at durvasa and not at your Topic. Tracy is a vital part of our offense, but what durvasa makes him out to be, and our wins when he was out was also not as meaningless as durvasa makes them out to be. I just can't stand some punk posing as some kind of objective stat wizard by selecting manipulative stats to try to make a point to protect the ego of his hero.

Tracy has been known to disappoint so don't get yourself too excited.
    Consistency is the key.....

Why do you people still hate t-mac so much? Geez he's totally sacraficing for the team, and by the way, the offense doesn't look better when the game starts and he's on the bench, it looks WORSE.

    Get a clue man.

did you miss the stretch when we won 5 straight earlier in the new year? Did you miss the crisp ball movement that we had? Did you see a 10+ year vet who hardly plays defense himself stare down a rookie for missing a defensive assignment tonight? Do you see anyone else in the NBA do that?

    no I'm not

have respect for the game and the other team, it's not going to kill Tmac to hold on the the ball until the buzzer sounds.

Yeah, 5 wins, one was a good one, the other 4 were against junk teams, including the knicks twice. I also didn't miss the loses against philly, no, and boston without t-mac by the way. Did you see those?

I think you only have eyes for hate of t-mac.

what he has failed to notice is that WE ARE CLOSING OUT GAMES AT AN ALARMINGLY GREAT RATE?

even last yr we couldn't close out games with this "jvg-ball"

we have better players than last yr. if u play the same system with BETTER players, u get better results.

less hayes, less rafer => more landry/scola, more brooks => better results.

McGradys defense is underrated imo. He's long enough and quick enough to contest any shot when he's healthy. I remember that play last year where he blocked someone from the top of the key to win the game.

Kobe stares down his rookie teammates all the time and calls them out on national tv. Tmac doesnt take it that far and its not exactly a bad thing to do.

The ball movement was better when during the 5 game winning streak but its not Tmacs fault that his teammates defer to him and start missing shots so he has to take over. Tmac has shown to be more then willing to pass.

i can't defend tmac's intensity on defense though. it's poor since he has came back still and maybe he doesn't want to expend energy defensively b/c of his knee.

but also, we put him on scrubs. when he was on roy tonight for 4-5 possessions, he actually went THROUGH screens/picks. just put him on decent players to challenge him a lil bit. he can get off track at times.

That's why I said when he is healthy. I think the probelm is Tmac is so smooth it looks like he's not trying. He looks like he plays the game half asleep. Then when you look at the stats at the end of the game he does a bit of everything.

Yes I did see those loses. We blew a double digit 2nd half lead to Philly but Philly blew us out by 30!! with Tmac, we played the hottest team as well as anyone (that didn't beat them of course) and didn't have a closer to finish it off, we lost in similar fashion to the Hornets, we took a Denver, who play very good at home, to the limit with them only winning by a crazy off-balanced three point shot at the end of overtime.

In other words, our losses during that period was probably better than our wins before that. Remember, even though we blew out weak teams like memphis during this Macless win streak, we Lost to them with a full squad. No slight at Tmac, but when he went out because of injury it gave our team a chance to actually try out Adelman's offense and see if it works, and you know what?? It did.
