At this point if it's straight up Steve or Brooks I have to go with AB. I love Steve and his heart but right now he needs to get in shape. However, if Steve gets in shape and motivated he should definitely get some playing time again, start eating up some of those minutes from Luther. Steve in shape and motivated is a great asset, I just don't know if his body will allow him to do what we remember him capable of doing.
but to be honest, Steve is a bit old and slow now, yeah, we miss him, and like him either, but brooks is young and fast. and also potential. so we should give brooks more time and practice, I'm sure he will help in playoffs.
Francis has always been more of an athlete than a basketball player. Now that he's older and his athleticism disappeared like fat on subway Jared, the result is what we see now.
I can admit when I am wrong. I voted for neither (back when this was a new poll) and Brooks clearly deserves playing time. Steve can continue to rack up those DNP-CDs. Maybe his salary will come in handy to make a trade work.
i think its safe to say brooks has gotten all of francis' and james' PT. who wouldve thunk? the rookie beat out two "seasoned" veterans
r u serious ??? steve... i hope u have been watching the games this season because AB has played significantly better then SF3 ... it cant even be debated ... the only game that i saw steve play well in was the phoenix game besides that hes been pretty sorry... it might be because he is out of shape and that is probably why he can't push the ball up and is always walking the ball up the court... but there is no doubt after the game vs the knicks it should be AB
aaron brooks there is a reason he was nominated for Team USA even though he didn't make it(it's understandable since he NEVER even played a single game in NBA at that time)
More like two veterans beat themselves by sucking so badly that Brooks got time earlier than expected.
Who starts threads that are a waste of server space? A. Aaron Brooks B. Steve Francis C. Carl Herrera See below for answer. Answer: C
IMHO: Luther head is a horrible starting guard backup guard bench rider I took my good friend who knows 0 about basketball to a game, and asked why the other team's guards are 10x better then ours Im glad Brooks/Rafer is stepping up, but i'm sorry these are against super weak teams - but as long as they build confidence it'll carry over to mavs type games Steve is still good if used correctly Let Rafer/Brooks cover PG Trade for a new SG, and let Stevie backup SG my .02 copper
It probably is. Why not label those two veteran PGs the Rockets picked up last offseason as the co-scapegoats for the team's dismal start this season?
no problem. I had to resurrect this thread to see the reaction, before it was like 80-90% Steve Francis. its really wierd how people just didn't give AB a chance at all because he's a rookie. I saw the "Sam Cassell" in AB!
Clutchness = Shot making ability http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=332 No one may have proven more during this Summer League than Aaron Brooks. He showed the shot making ability and range of a seasoned NBA player. Brooks can punish opponents when left open, and was lights-out from three-point range all week. Brooks’ ability to hit the NBA three should fit in well next to Tracy McGrady should the two ever get the chance to play together. One thing that Brooks did show in Vegas was a propensity to take off balance shots from the perimeter. On the vast majority of his touches, Brooks either broke his man down off the dribble or shot the ball before his man could get a hand up.
I didn't disagree with you. I just wasn't sure if that was what you meant when you said you saw the "Sam Cassell" in Brooks.
