Basically make him go to "Time-Out"? My gosh why don't you spank him with a belt while your at it. The man is making millions and he's returning home, how do you not come into camp in shape?

Really though I would have Francis talk with Bonzi about his last season, maybe Bonzi can give him words of advice

He was given every opportunity and got beat out by a PG that everyone had written off. Everyone thought Rafer was a goner and was unwanted. Rafer himself thought he was out. But yet, he won the job fair and square. If anything, Francis probably had the inside track at the job and lost it.

I am probably the biggest Steve supporter and I do not think that he would have made a difference last night. Defense his not his strong point, and we needed better defense on Jason Terry and Jerry Stackhouse. Jason Terry used and abused Rafer and Mike, and Luther has no chance in hell defending Jerry Stackhouse.

This isn't a bad idea. We would be a much stronger team, IMO, if Francis was in shape and deemed trustworthy by Adelman to start at the 1 spot. Let the other "RA" rack up the DNP-CDs instead of Francis. Unfortunately, I guess Francis still has a way to go to prove to Adelman he is ready.

Is that the only reason we signed him "for the last freakin time", lol. For one, I've been of the opinion Rafer should be the starter. Secondly (since many of you believe everything you hear in the media) Adelman said when he brought in Steve it was to be the starter. So you're wrong. Even if you don't agree with my opinion what you're saying carries no weight because it is incorrect (according to the words that came out of Adelman's mouth).

Now, I posted many times during practice, training camp and preseason that Steve was getting beat out by Rafer (whom I said would start and people said I was crazy), James and Head (whom people said the same). People said no way, I was full of it, I didn't know what I was talking about, ect...(some people). Well that all turned out to be correct. Check my post history, I was putting stuff out there way before the media. If you choose to believe Steve is out of shape still, go ahead and believe it. He isn't though. He's in game shape but doesn't fit what Adelman likes. However, on nights when james is off I think Steve should be given a chance. Also, he is so far back in the rotation he really isn't getting a chance to show what he can offer in practice. he did have that chance but isn't getting much of one now. Believe what you want though. If he was honestly out of shape he wouldn't be talking in the media.

James can come out of a slump at any moment. You can't just assume that he's going to have a bad GAME if he's 1 for 5. I'd much rather have him in the game because at least he's going to take shots. Francis would just be in there turning the ball over. The only way I want Francis in the game is if there is an injury to one of our perimeter players, or Head REALLY starts to struggle.

I don't know about practices but Steve had a very limited amount of playing in the pre-season. Also when he was in, he didn't seem that bad.

I am so tired of seeing Stackhouse abuse Luther Head. In my opinion, Stevie should have gotten some scratch minutes last night replacing Luther, the first trip that Dallas started going to Stackhouse with Head on him.

Quite agree!Even Steve might not perform well in offence presenly, I'm sure his defense ability is much better than Alston and James.Terry is so quick and his jumpshots are so accurate, only Stevet could have overwhelmed him.
And this failure is mostly due to the deficiency in defending terry.

Very true, it is an out of shape Steve Francis that would've stopped Jason Terry and scored all the baskets down the stretch  ... Why do you people keep posting about Francis... ADELMAN DOES NOT KEEP PEOPLE IN HIS DOGHOUSE... He plays the best player that he has, so Francis is missing something and thats why he isn't playing. Guys this guy did not perform well for 2 seasons and didn't play well in preseason... this is not 5 years ago when we had him young and crazy talented... He is now OLD, Still got talent somewhere but it is covered with his out of shapeness.

Head didnt play well recently, maybe SF could be granted a chance to take his time for at least a few mintutes.

If anybody thinks Adelman is going to sit somebody he thinks gives us the best chance to win, then you are insane.

Stop thinking with your hearts and use some common sense. Steve will play when he's earned it and he's one of our best 9-10 players.

He didn't do anything in preseason, and he apparently isn't doing much in practice or he'd be on the court playing.

I didnt want to deny Head's talents and his perfect 3s ability.
However, due to his deficiency in athleticism and height,he hardly shoots well when the defense is intense, especially in the playoffs.
Give SF some chance,at least he has the foundations, and I saw his slam dunk in the preson games,he's not that bad as you thought.Let him improve gradually,in long term's respect,he's worth the time.

Looking at Randolph's performances at the Knicks (espcially last night against the Nuggets, 22points, 17rebounds), I still can't believe Knicks got him by simply trading away Francis to Portland.

Just imagine the Rockets could land Randolph. His stock was very low in the summer when Portland decided to rebuild, although his contract huge.

    Luther Head?
Changing rotation isn't that easy, but I'm sure Francis will play,at least be some support from the bench.

i agree that luther is a liability against dallas. however, steve isn't much bigger.

i would rather see snyder thrown out there.
