A lot of really late 1st and 2nd round picks doesn't sound like "quite a haul" to me.

This trade makes absolutely no sense for the Suns. The Lakers make deep runs in the playoffs which means those first rounders are preety much.....trash.

swap bynum for Dwight Howard and now you have a serious big 3 to compete with Miami.

What a dumb move. Those picks are worthless.

I'd rather get nothing in return and let him go to Dallas or Toronto than help out the Lakers and get crappy picks who probably won't amount to ****.

we must root for the Laker's to get Nash, because then maybe Buss will go for a final push for Kobe with Bynum....not Howard.

    Four bad picks for Nash?
    That's not a trade. It's a donation.

Talk to me in 2015 when Nash is retired, Kobe is on his last leg, and one or both of Pau/Bynum likely gone.

Told KTAR-AM radio in PHX has tweeted it first. Suns have consented to send Nash to where h

Damn, and the Suns never even went to the Finals under Nash' regime. LOL.

2015 is 3 years from now. Nash is in all likelihood signing a 3 year deal. Kobe won't be done by then and Pau/Bynum wouldn't be gone either.

2018.....ya, then they stink. 2015, they are still a playoff team.

This is the Lakers. They are ALWAYS in the playoffs.

That pick is probably lottery-protected. Wouldn't really do anything.

by deep, i hope you mean the semis, and unlikely the conference finals. Nash wont make a HUGE difference, unless the lakers get howard.

Apparently, ESPN reports that Nash will try to convince Hill to sign with LA too.

    PG - Nash/Sessions
    SG - Kobe
    SF - Artest/Hill
    PF - Pau/Hill
    C - Bynum

That's a pretty damn good team, for a year or 2.

When does Stern come in and veto the trade for Nash?

Nash to the Lakers is bad new for Houston:

    1. a NYK trade would have required PHX to take back salary, which would make it more difficult for PHX to offer Dragic what he wanted, particularly if they also land Eric Gordon.

    2. The LAL picks can be flipped over to NOH to complete a Eric Gordon sign and trade, reducing even further any glimmer of hope that NOH would use the threat of matching to trade Gordon to HOU or to match him and trade him later.

    3. NYK is now assured to match Lin in order to avoid PR disaster (some of you people hate him, but the team apparently does not).

    4. The Lakers become even strong contender for Dwight Howard trade. Stronger Lakers team means Howard more likely to agree to stay (or to decide to stay at the end of the season).

    5. The Lakers no longer in the market for a PG, say goodbye to any Lowry to Lakers possibility.

Jason Kidd is 60 years old. So Lin is staying with the Knicks.
