Except he ran it plenty of times with Nash...? Probably just Nash trying to help the Lakers save face now that Howard is gone.

Nash isn't saying this now, a Lakers reporter is saying now that "last season Nash said a lot that..."

I remember this from last season, it was brought up but there was more context around it. The Lakers reporter is upset and is now extrapolating after the fact.

P and R doesn't stand for pick and roll with Kobe. It means Pick and Rebound. Why can't people see through this hocus pocus? Dwight wants his touches. EVERY DOMINANT BIG MAN wants their touches.

Well, he better get used to it because every organized team past the middle-school level runs the pick and roll.

Pick and rebound. Then pass it out and rebound again.

This doesn't bother me. He will get some touches on the block, and obviously he will still be used heavily in the pick and roll. Howard more or less hated playing with Kobe and hated being blamed for all of the Lakers problems. I don't see this happening in Houston.

Adding CP3 would make us the worst defensive backcourt in the NBA.

looks like maori and teh coaching staff are going to have to change the name of the pick and rolls set so howard won't notice.

I wonder if he'd buy it if they started calling it the Designated Hitter or DH for short. He might think that is an old school play and/or be flattered that they were designing plays for him.

Your flat out wrong. Nash had a radio spot today and said that. No conspiracy by the reporter as you insinuate. Nash also pointed out that Houston ran a ton of pick and roll.

This crap will be pouring in for months. It's enough to say that Dwight has a clean slate, with a new team, and that most of the media chatter isn't worth the time it took to write. Enough!

It's very amusing and quite stupid that Dwight didn't want to run PnR last year.. He's literally the best roll man in the game. It'll be interesting to see if he alters his stance given how much of the Rockets offense was based off pick and roll last year and how devastating he could be in it.

In LAL/NYK, MDA's PNR were not good enough because he let Kobe/Melo shoot a lot.

    The ball movement was limited.

So Steve Nash wants to criticize. The same man tht missed so many games due to various injuries while Howard only missed 6 after a back/shoulder issue. NASH is the real wuss

Also, the Lakers are too old to run and their spacing was not enough for PNR.
