Um, what? You realize Nash lead the Suns to the playoffs without Amare when he was injured right?

Nash is literally better in every aspect of the game offensively. He's a better scorer, more clutch, a better team player, better play maker..... Brooks definitely shouldn't be compared to him yet. Probably not ever.

Yeah, he is better. Just making a point about the thread topic at hand. The suns went to the playoffs with incredible role players like Johnson. Last year he couldn't do it, even with oneal.

So son't tell me it still takes an individual to to make the play offs, AB is not as good, but pretty good in his own right. Last year when the Suns and Houston played, AB actually out played Nash in a few games. It was amazing.

In the end, AB is not as good as nash, nor brandon roy, but it does not take one person to make the playoffs with out key role players and another all star to take the heat off each other.

AB WILL BE AN ALLSTAR ONE DAY... MARK MY WORDS...

I look at half this list and consider it meaning MVP for their respective teams, of which I think most that have seen most of the games could agree on Brooks being one.

Although really, his best shot at a reward might be this season with the MIP award. I wouldn't put him (or Rose or the Bucks player whose name I can't pronounce or a most on the list) up the almost MVP level that Nash would have to occupy.

    Rondo is a maybe.

eww rondo is a NO. not a fan. of those I think i would only pick roy for sure over brooks in terms of starting a team. bogut being a legit center is tempting tho and josh smith is crazy athletic and awesome defensively.

Yeah, if Brooks could be 80% of the player Nash is, we'd be contending next year with Yao back, even if Morey just sat there in the off season doing no trade.

I can easily do that. Something like this:

In his 3rd year in the NBA, Steve Nash was a bad player and Aaron Brooks is a good one.

    Nash in his 3rd year-

    31.7 min/gm
    FG% .363
    pts 7.9
    ast 5.5

I can even put Nash and Rafer in the same sentence:

Rafer Alston as a Rocket was better than Steve Nash in his 3rd year.

Way to take the quote out of context.

It was within the context, you can't just accept that it was.

I'm glad Brooks is getting some recognition. Next season will be fun to watch and see if he improves even more than he already has. He doesn't have to boost his stats, just become more efficient and know what to do in situations.
