However, all this does is force the Titans in allowing McNair to be able to practice at the team facilities. I for one am hoping it also accelerates a decision on this matter. The Titans (I mean Bud Adams) were stupid in not allowing Steve to practice at the teams facility. Not that Steve has ever been a huge workout warrior in the past offseasons. But dumb move on the teams part. My preferance is for the Titans to work out a deal so they can have Steve for the next 2 years. But I know Steve wants to be starting for the next 2-3 years and that is not going to happen with Vince Young waiting in the wings. I hate when teams and star players can not work things so that it ends with the player ending his career with one team. It is the business aspect of sports. Sad but true. The strange part about this is the rumored contract that Steve is supposed to be getting from Baltimore is for about 2 million more than his existing contract with the Titans. What I have been unable to figure out is it sounds like a one year contract. I have not heard what McNair would be getting in years 2 or 3 of that contract. I can see this ending similar to how Eddie left and signed with the Cowboys. If Eddie was smart he would have taken what the Titans were offering and ended his career with the Titans.
