I won't be surprised at all. I'd be shocked if he doesn't become the back-up to Alston and perhaps even compete with for minutes.

I'm just replying to your sig. How about 2007-2008 Boston Celtics. It just happened. But if they are the only team, surely we will be the second. Go Rockets!! 2008-2009 NBA Champs!!

Thanks for the pics! It's good to see Scola and Steve get along well, it looked like they were having a good time. Steve looked better than we've seen him in a long time, slim, not much body fat and horsing around with the basketball. ;)

I'm assuming they were promoting their shoes.

He looked pretty active, is he clear to play basketball?

The celtics failed to win a playoff series the year before. Whether or not they made the playoffs has no bearing on that. If that guy wants to update the sig to say "no team that made the playoffs and failed to win a series"...it'd be more accurate.

I hope your right, competing for minutes can only bring out the best in our players!

Did the celtics win a playoffs series that year or not? If not, then they failed to win a playoff series. The warriors last year failed to win a playoff series because they failed to even make the playoffs. If you mean something else you have to be more specific.

We don't have that kinda money. The Celtics bought Stern and the title itself. You're telling me the same team that struggled against Atlanta and Cleveland beat KB24 and the Lakes in less than 7 legitimately? No. We're done here. Now, if Les could get some more money now we're talking.

Yes. Did you not see the choke job done by Kobe in the elimination game? What about blowing HUGE leads in the previous games?

i didn't say KB24 wasn't paid off too. I felt like a lot of calls went the celts way and really killed any momentum that team had. eh, at least we didn't get screwed by them.

People tend to forget that Steve Francis is a career 18, 5 and 5 guy. Thats what you call serious contribution. And I have no doubt that he can do that this year as long as he's healthy. He looks pretty healthy so far, i'm gonna keep my fingers crossed.

Unless were talking about the prime stevie, rafer will be the starting PG. steve even with the current shape at best is a borderline starter/backup at this stage of he's career. at best we can hope for is ten points and three or four assists off bench type production.

People here tend to underrate rafer bigtime. this is a guy who dosent skip a beat with he's teammates. he knows where to get the ball to who and where. he's also a very good at keeping the ball. he seldomly commit turnovers or ruin the tempo of our offense. we could do alot worse then alston.

Of course in his last 3 years he has averaged, 14pts 10pts and 5pts. His feild goal percentage has dropped every year as well.

Also remember that he is 31 years old. When players enter their 30's it becomes much harder for them to regain old form...perticualarly when it is a form they have not had in 3 years and especially when their game was based on athleticism.

Hopefully you are right and Steve will come in healthy and in good shape this year proving that Rafer is just a back up. How nice it would be to add Steve's scoring punch of a few years ago to this squad. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
