With his injury issues, I don't think McGrady could've been traded for a top two pick. And the Rockets would've had a hard time tanking badly enough to get it on their own. Maybe if Yao was traded, Van Gundy was never hired and Luther Head was our starting point guard. But it would still be pretty tough. Sorry to derail the thread there.
you know what I'm tired of...? checking a thread titled "Steve Francis update.." yet finding no updates.. on Steve Francis..
Hey, don't worry about it. I can't believe this thread has gone on and on like it has. There's one more thing I must add to what I said in just a few posts earlier in this thread when I said how Steve Francis never helped a team go deep in the playoffs. In addition, he never helped a team win 50 or more games in a regular season either unlike what T-Mac and Yao have at least managed to do.
and. .and . .and . . he never had sleepy eyes. . and he was never over 6'4 . . and he never been to Orlando . . or from china. . . . or .. or .. or some other things to diminish the fact that I made a statement that can apply to someone i don't hate but i wanna just throw hate at him particularly so i will add more conditions to differentiate him from the other plays that I do like Rocket River . . . point blank and simple. . .none of them have gone 'deep' into the playoffs . . . even thought SF did play against the most talented and experienced team we have faced in the playoffs since the Hakeem Era
Here are a couple of recent pics of Francis at his Summer Fiesta party…looking slim. Sam Cassell, Monta Ellis, Moses Malone and Kelvin Cato also made an appearance. http://www.indmix.biz/album08/081608/index.html
hmm I notice on the last page of the pics it says about a party they had yesterday on a yacht with a $35 admission...is that open to anyone?
He does look slimmer than I've ever seen him. I bet for a guy like him getting up in age means cutting a little bit of muscle too, so he can try and keep as much quickness as possible.
I want him to do well so bad , he used to like the old Steve so much I just doubt it he can bounce back. He had surgeory and needed to rest so he probably won't be in camp in a very good shape and then I see him off the tea, really fast. I hope I am wrong because I really like Steve , just don't want to get disappointed.
Update: I don't know him personally, but base don his past, Steve is probably not working out. He's probably just bulimic. Guessingly yours, Russjr2
My coworker saw him in First Colony over the weekend and got the chance to chat with a couple of minutes. He says eventhough he has trimmed down he says Steve is pretty cut. He said Steve stated his knees havent felt this good since he joined the Rox. He also said that no matter what he isnt trying to take Rafer's position but would welcome coming off the bench in a Jason Terry type mode.
i was at his charity dinner friday night and he was looking slimmer... didn't really ask him about basketball, but i told him i was really excited about the upcoming season and he said with ron onboard he thinks we're the best team in the league.
