Cato and Walt were in foul trouble. Griffin is out. Collier is the only backup big man available, and he only played 9 minutes. Cato and KT logged 36 and 38 minutes. Who else was supposed to play? Cato fouled out, Walt and KT both had 5 fouls. I don't see how Collier and Langhi logging 22 minutes between them when no one else is available constitutes 'tanking'.

Steve disappeared because as soon as he reached 30 points, he started taking less shots, and he gave offensive control to Moochie. When his jumper stopped falling, he didn't try to compensate by driving to the hoop. Most superstar players will find a way to get points, even if the defense does adjust to stop them.

Anyway, I rarely criticize Steve as I did after this game. I usually defend Steve to the best of my ability. You guys make it sound like I'm constantly ripping him, and that is not Da truth. :D

A little harsh A-Train, but hell, you reacted like the PERFECT fan should, I'm a bit ashamed that I can't do the same. You the man!

i think rudy is the one who defers the ball to moochie not so much steve. i mean otherwise what's the point of having mooch and smallball if he's not the one running the show.(by the way i think smallball is ridiculous.) what is mooch going to do, play the 2-guard? this isn't steve deferring the leadership, it's just the way it plays out when we have 3 guards in the game, one in particular who really, really likes to dribble.

    YOu make joke !?!?!??!!??!?!?!?! :D

I also discovered that Steve trails Shaq, mutombo, Wallace, Wallace, and anyone else over 6'4" in blocked shots. He needs to work on that. ;)
