    Thousands of websites are locked by a firewall put up by the chinese government. Imagine if the US government banned twitter or facebook. Thats communism (democrats are trying to lead us to socialism though)

    And we're already "socialist" by nature with welfare, health care and education being doled out for free.

    Stevie actually has tons of benefits from his contract with the Chinese team, I can't remember the exact things that are paid for, but I think it includes private tuition for his kids, a free house, free transport etc, it was mentioned somewhere in an article.....

    And does anybody actually think Francis will even pay attention to the 'civil obedience' lesson? He'd probably arrive drunk tbh.

    Therefore, China is a not communist country albeit ruled by Chinese Communist Party, which doesn't believe in Communism at all. Q.E.D.

    PS: a lot of people equate communism with totalitarianism, which is absolutely ignorant and wrong. For example, You can't call Saddam's Iraq a communist country.

    what's the punishment again? some lashes and/or scolding by teammates?

    I don't think all players go to China for the money..(if so they are doing it all wrong. lol) Some players just want to stay relevant (kinda like the D-League for veterans.)
