Right...He is watching NO and he didn't even travel to Utah to see his team playing in the playoffs...
Who cares? As long as he shows up healthy and in shape I don't give a damn if he's partying at strip clubs with Pacman Jones.
Everyone has been on his case about that. What if the tables are turned though? What if the Rockets organization made no effort to get Francis there. What if they made him feel unwelcome? What if Francis feels a little bitter that they didn't call, text, or shoot him an email to include him?
I think he loves basketball and NO is playing very good now. He should get some points from watching CP3 (on how he played while being pressured and heckled by the opponent) in the playoffs.
Doesnt' seem like much of a big deal or anything, I'm just guessing a basketball player being interested in basketball lol. If I didn't make it to the NBA playoffs (or got a first round exit >_<) I'd go watch some games too, especially with his money xP And especially the Hornets, like come on CP3!
Where's Waldo? Francis was probably at the Utah games but you just didn't see him. Big stadium y'know.
I find that hard to believe. SF would probably be the only black man not in uniform sitting in that Utah game. He probably felt threaten by them.
What's the big deal? D Wade was there too...nothing wrong with checking out playoff basketball, we do it, just no longer live at Toyota center.
I wouldn't mind being courtside for that game, either! I think he made a great life decision by seeing a basketball game instead of going to the movies, for instance. There I said it.
you know what if he didnt go to any rockets games because he was injured? you hear it all the time from players that the hardest thing to do is sit and watch their team go out there and compete without being able to help in any sort of way. francis had been injured since what december? that would have easily taken a toll on him just sitting there. heck you can see the frustration on Yao's face during the utah series of not being able to do anything. at least watching other teams he is still keeping his passion for the game alive but not having to have the guilty/frustration feeling. if anything hopefully he was trying to pick up on what some of these teams/players were doing. Wade was courtside as well and there was no big huge thing about him being there. a lot of time players do go to other basketball games because its great entertainment. and if francis is at tulane rehabbing then it makes even more sense for him to go to the game. some people really need to lay off this guy it seems he is in a damned if he does and damned if he doesnt stage for all of you guys. the guy gave it his all when he was here, he sacrificed for the sake of the team, he may not have the bball iq we all hoped he would develop, but there is no question about his desire and passion to play.... got traded for a clearly superior player and then took less money after getting bought out to come back here and play...he had a bad attitude to start the season but he clearly adjusted and was starting to play a lot better after getting into shape before his injury... i mean what more do you want?? i wish more players had that sort of desire, passion and loyalty steve has shown to this franchise instead of being criticized all the time for really insignificant things
Quoted for making my day. I can just hear that doctor's appt, with little rehab-type diagrams of the exercises. "Over the urine puddle and back 20 times. Rest 10 seconds, repeat."
Ya should have asked him how he felt and what he's doing for rehab and when he'll be back to playing at a high level.
If u were a player that lives in houston, and played for houston but couldn't play, why wouldn't u want to be in n.o. ? People want these players to think about their job night and day. The truth is, u don't think about ur job night and day, why should they do the same? I would rather be in n.o. than utah everyday of the week.
