I know you are being sacrastic here. But to answer your question, why did he want to do that? What can he benefit from making people think he's still emotionally attached to the Rockets and his former teammates?
Who says that he's *making* people believe anything? Maybe he is genuinely attached to Yao and the Houston Rockets, and truly did not want to leave. It all goes back to the idea of loyalty. Steve was loyal to the team and to the fans. The fans couldn't wait to get him out the door.
Steve always seemed loyal and genuinely seemed to like the Rockets and Yao. I don't think you can question his heart. I'll miss the guy but we have T-Mac now. It'd be great to see Steve back in Houston someday but it doesn't look likely right now.
man steve has really acted first class about this whole situation a part of me will always cheer for stevie franchise!
Ok, so we all know hes good friend of Yao, but whatever happen to his relationship with Cuttino? I thought they were the best of friend? All we hear is about Steve and Yao but no where's the Cat? Did Steve mention about Cat in the show?
There were things on the court that a lot of us sometimes got upset with Steve over etc... but he was a Rocket so I became a huge fan of his.. and will always hope the best for him... that being said.. im a fan of the team first before the players.. so I'm glad to have tmac.. and I do hope Steve doesn't do too well against us He really has always seemed like a good guy.. glad to see he is keeping a house in houston
BET? What is this BET you talk of? I am some pastey white dude, I don't know of BET. Go Charlotte Bobcats!!
We should cheer and show him some love and appreciation when he come to toyota center as a Magic. He does not deserve to be booed at all (I say this because there maybe some people already planning to do so following the fracas that ensured just before the TMAC trade became official). Let bygones be bygones. His heart was in the right place but......
Nah, he didn't mention Cuttino, but nothing really came up that would have brought him to. All the pictures were of magazine covers/all star photos of him and Yao, and when was the last time he was photographed with Cuttino? I'm sure him and Cat are still really good friends. I have a feeling that Cuttino's inclusion in the trade was one of Francis' demands that convinced him to go to Orlando (cause if you remember at first it was only rumored to be Francis/Cato for T-Mac)
Speaking of Steve, I just left Academy Sports and Outdoors with a Steve Francis(Rockets) Football style Jersey for 20 bucks. It was originally $70 bucks. What a deaL!
What's funny is so many people saying they miss Steve. I bet alot of you were the same ones creaming your pants at the thought of getting McGrady and thinking very little about getting rid of Stevie then.
Well, I almost creamed my pants but I was able to hold it (just barely) when we got T-Mac. That doesn't mean that I'm thrilled that we had to give up Stevie. Like the Franchise said on BET last night, the NBA is a business and his trade was just that, business. I will continue to wish him success in his career and like I mentioned in an earlier post, I would love to see him come back to Houston and play alongside T-Mac some day!
