I got a highlight mix video from Thereasonsf3 for tonights game that has all his dunks and his gamewinner, but i don't know how to upload it, so if someone knows how just tell me and i'll email you the video.
I do realize that, but it only explains TMac's first season. What about the openers for his 2nd, 3rd, and even last season? This is not a rip on TMac, I'm just surprised that the Orlando fans didn't pack the stadium for an up & coming player who is regarded by many as a top10 player in his 2nd season and top 5 players in his last 2 seasons in Orlando. I think Rocket2k's been doing BT's of Rocket games, you may want to ask him to set up a BT for that. But I don't remember if he is still a Francis fan and I don't know how many fans on this board that still care about SF.
Besides the post I put up top to get it from ESPN Motion, I found another link, and I think it's by TheReasonSF3: http://s11.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=99E4E93D06BD444B9AE1C46EA1D7D554
Where did all these fairweather Francis defenders come from? Where were they when everyone was ripping on Francis before a game was played? Are y'all going to go hide again when Francis has a bad game? Francis played a great game as I knew he would. (1) He's a great player. (2) He gets up for big games, and his first game as a Magic is a big game. Fortunately for him, he didn't get overhyped and have turnovers as he sometimes does early in big games. It is just one game. He likely won't average 26, 8 and 7 (or whatever it was), but he won't be slacking off that too much either. I'd guess 22, 7 and 6.
Yeah, I know. The only names I usually see praising Francis is yours, mine and pgab, maybe 1 or 2 others. Who are these other guys?
I'm confident the Rox will look better at some point with the current cast but the blame Steve took on these boards was ridiculous and will be proven to be so when the same problems he was blamed for continue to plague the current Rockets. It also remains to be seen although some things are already coMing (teehee) to light whether the burden for Yao's problems are almost all his own. Inablility to seal off a defender or hold position in the post, I swear he was getting pushed out ten and twelve feet from the basket last night by Loren Woods whom he must outweigh by a hundred pounds. That is not to mention the fact that all Ming could do was hold his own when matched up against a player like Donyall Marshall. His game just seems more and more gimmicky and more importantly easy for opposing teams to exploit the more I watch him. /SSG not in a good way //needs a Rox win
Because those fair-weather Francis defenders are easily distracted by flashy play. Oooooh. Ahhhh! Dunks! We'll have plenty of that stuff from TMac. We should be focusing on the long term wins and play-offs. So...Let Francis say what he wants. Our main issue is the Rockets. Stay focused on the future.
It wasn't the dunks that were most impresive but the way he played. I watched the entire Orlando game and the way Francis & Mobley were moving the ball and fast breaking was what we always wanted from the duo, but never got.
I always defended Steve when he was on the Rockets, but now I don't want to get mixed up in it anymore. The reason being that people got their wish and now Steve is gone, if they can't let it go and still want to bash the guy after he's gone, then they must have some kind of deep seeded personal hatred of the guy. How do you talk to somebody like that?
Man, I just watched the highlight clip. Did anybody notice how slow and few people stood up after he t-bag dunked Strickland? Maybe it was because we could only see the expensive seat crowd, people who aren't really baskeball fans. I'd like to think that seeing your player posterize a guy would get you out of your seat though.
i've been known to defend francis from time to time. obviously it was only one game and he won't average that all year (especially the 2 to's) but it is funny that one game removed from van gundy he puts up 26, 9, and 7, hits the game winning shot, and has the number 1 play on sportscenter's top 10 plays (he barely had any highlight reel plays last year). one weird thing is on the dunk he both takes off on one foot and dunks one handed. while you have to jump off one foot coming straight down like he did, he usually always layed it up in that position. he almost exclusively jumped off 2 feet for dunks. and he basically palmed the ball for the dunk. he also almost always used two hands for dunks and the only time he didn't was like the first highlight dunk where he's coming from the side and can use his arm to kind of cradle the ball. i've never seen him just straight hold it up like he did. and that dunk was friggin' sweet. shades of the jahidi white posterization. hopefully orlando keeps winning and francis keeps playing well. oh, and hopefully the rockets offense stops sucking.
I haven't seen Steve dunk like that in a while. That dunk from the side is almost as ridiculous. It looks like he gets taller in the air. That's crazy for a guy his size.
what eminem song is that playing in TheReasonSF3's clip? i tried typing some of the lyrics into google but got nothing.
