And because you read it from Inside Hoops that makes it true? Do you actually believe Dream was a 7 footer or even 6'11"?

Those numbers have nothing to do with InsideHoops, it's raw data taken from the Chicago pre-draft camp measurements.

Please stop acting like you've stumbled onto some big conspiracy, NBA heights are often pudged but even guys like Barkley did not pudge their height (6'6) by more than 1.25 inches (measured at 6'4 3/4).

The following mug shot disputes that even.

According to the mugshot, Barkley's actually 6'8?????

Regarding Chuck's height, this surprised me:

So....Chuck Hayes is as tall as Grant Hill?!?

Something's not adding up. Maybe the Kentucky picture was taken at a funny angle? Or maybe Bogans grew a few inches after he left Kentucky?

Or maybe Murph23 doesn't know what he's talking about?

Is it just me, or has the hostility on these boards in general gone up a notch lately? :)

All I know is, Chuck is officially listed at 6' 6, and you often hear announcers, like Worrell, say he's 6' 5.

From those pics, he looks as tall as Grant Hill, so one of the following has to be true:

    a) That Kentucky picture is misleading. (You can't see their feet, and maybe Bogans is hunched over...? But why would he hunch over to talk to a taller player?)
    b) Grant Hill is not really 6' 8".
    c) Bogans grew taller after he left Kentucky.
    d) Chuck Hayes is taller than we all thought.

[/way too much time on my hands]

Maybe Chuck shrunk since Kentucky? lol

Thing is I can understand in Chuck B and Chuck H's instance that they would throw up their height alil to try measure up with other power forwards in the league (6'4 defending KG or TD at 7'?). But in Stevie's case as a PG... you would prefer to have your height between 6-6'3 either to match up with the taller PG's or maybe even list it as being shorter then your actual height to gain advantages on smaller PG's? I don't know...
... the truth is out there!
    :D

that's the beauty and curse of the forum system.

To answer the why does Chuck look so much taller than Keith in that picture is his posture. According to this site (which is one of my favorite UK History sites) http://www.bigbluehistory.net/bb/Statistics/roster2001-02.html Keith is just an inch shorter than Chuck. It also says that Erik Daniels is 6'8" (#14) who stands next to Chuck.

Here's the team picture.. you make the call! ;)

LMFAO. It's probably because folks were hoping for Steve to pout and cause problems but he only talked positively about helping the less fortunate. Thus, the folks have to pick on somebody so Chuck got it this time.

The guy two players to Chuck's left is Tayshaun Prince. He's listed at 6'9" by the NBA and Chuck appears to be about 3" shorter, so I'm going to say case closed...Hayes is 6'6" (in shoes)

    LMAO.

Like I said before, I guess you haven't seen Chucky up close? I have, and I stand by my claim that in bare feet, Chucky is 6'4".
