    Well said.

Just because someone makes an observation that happens to be regarding something negative doesn't mean they were looking for something negative. Sometimes I see a fat nasty girl's thong, but I sure as hell wasn't looking for it.

Oh and let's cut it out with the "there wasn't a seat for him" excuses. In preseason, when we had 19 guys, there might have been a shortage of seats. Right now every team carries 15 players and I guarantee there was a seat for Steve.

Adelman couldn't have handled the Francis situation any worse than he did.
Communication b/w the two seems to have been nil leading up to this, out-of-the-rotation status.
Not sure what happened during the preseason practices but Adelman needs to get a hold on this now.
    He's treating Francis like a red-headed stepchild.
Yes, Steve is an emotional player but the upside to that is he leaves it all on the court. He plays with heart and this team was sorely missing that last year.
Francis play is far from perfect but it doesn't warrant being shunned from the team like this. He has plenty of talent left and should be given a chance to succeed here.

    Prerequisite #1: Be in shape.

How hard is that to understand?

    You're just a HATER!!

Steve deserves playing time because.....well, because he's Steve! How can you argue with that logic?

According to somebody that was actually at the game:

Not saying he had the right to chillax on the floor but it seems he really did not have a seat.

Though I still believe that Steve was being a biatch or not (he was NOT into the game. Take off your Rocket colored glasses), let me say one itty, bitty thing...

STEVE FRANCIS IS BETTER THAN RAFER "DRIBBLE THE BALL UNTIL THE SHOT CLOCK HAS 3 SECONDS LEFT, LET ME TURN THE BALL OVER EVERY CHANCE I GET BECAUSE MY BRAIN IS THE SIZE OF A MARBLE" Alston.

    Thanks for reading.

Steve is not being shunned. He played himself out of the rotation. If he got in shape and adjusted his game, he could play himself back in, but I wouldnt hold my breath.

I don't think anyone is arguing that, but it does sound funny though.

Rafer made some costly turnovers but I think adelman trusts rafer more than francis at this point because rafer is in shape and get's the rockets tempo going early the way rick wants to play. He got the ball up the floor and rick likes guys that can push the tempo and get the team into the offense quickly. Rafers job isn't to score points and be dominate on offense, his job is to speed the tempo up and he did just that with 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Soon as yao rebounded rafer was ready to push the tempo whether it was to move the ball ahead with a pass or to push the ball with the dribble.

Steve on the other hand doesn't bring you this element at the point guard position. Steve doesn't push the ball on the break or realise the pass ahead, steve's problem right now is he needs the ball too much to be effective and it's hard when you have only ONE BALL and you got Yao and mcgrady who need the basketball first.

How did Adelman handle it worse? He handled it fine. He said Francis wasn't part of the rotation....doesnt get much clearer than that. Francis is the one acting like the red-headed step child and shunning himself from the team.

If Francis was really doing what everyone is saying he's doing, then he doesn't belong here. How does he have the right to be upset, when he came into camp out of shape. If you watched the preaseason at all you would see that he is clearly the worst guard. Rafer hit some big shots last game even though he didn't play well at all, he had big rebounding and assist numbers, which is exactly why he's in there. The whole team collapsed at the end not just Rafer. If Francis was really doing what everyone is saying he's doing, then he doesn't belong here.

Because Nash still acts like he gives a sh*t about the game and his teamates while he's down there.

Don't act dumb. You know full well what everyone's talking about when they refer to Steve laying on the floor.

nash has a back problem so he HAS to lay on the ground. it's not good for him to sit on the bench.

Got to be hard for him. The last time he was in a Rockets uniform he was the MAIN guy on the team. Now he's the last guy on the bench.

I for one felt bad for Steve. I have always liked him and honeslty was looking forward to watching him play last night. Hopefully he'll get it together b/c he's really too talented to just by laying on the floor all night!

This is the NBA, not high school or a YMCA league. I would bet my life that every player had a seat available to them, including Steve.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Nobody is complaining about a two-time MVP laying on his bad back to keep it from stiffening up before he goes back in the game to rip the heart out of the other team, all the while being the ultimate team player and leader.

    It's crazy.
