ON that point I do agree, but I have no problems with Steve laying on his back instead of up and getting in the huddle. That's dumb, for all we know his back was hurting, so what.
his ego is hurt as well also i saw him on the bench. in the first quarter his face was buried in his hands. he just looked so miserable. dont think he can take much more of this bench warming.
You make a good point, and I do understand where you're coming from. The SF depression may even be exaggerated because he fell from #1 to #10, and it sucks. I'm sure he didn't expect to fall this far from the totem pole, and neither did we. I was very excited that SF came back, and drooled at the possibility of what could be. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that SF didn't feel like he should earn his roster spot. And now, I just don't want to hear that SF is no use to us and be disappointed again. We don't have a lot of information to go by at this point. I agree that he will work it out eventually. Personally, I'm just worried about HOW he would work this out. And the signs he's showing isn't very positive.
He was bench warming in new york,He's tripping because he is playing in the place he calls his home in front of his family.
That is exactly what I was thinking. In fact, to describe "franchise" we would have to add, "and on D act like a matador and allow your man free entry into the paint so he can a) score b)dish for a score c) get Yao in foul trouble." Rafer is at least an average on the ball defender. Steve is as bad as there is in the league. By the way, this isn't anything new. His defensive woes are not becuase of his age or being out of shape. He has always had this problem.
thats just stupid. obviously adelman has seen enough of francis to know it's best not to put him in the game. secondly francis didnt bench warm in new york, he still got about 20 minutes a game. i'm sure he was expecting AT LEAST that many minutes when he signed with us. however, he's not part of the rotation, and will be lucky to even see the floor on some nights. this is definitely something new to him and hes not taking it well.
He played very little in new york this past season, he was inactive for the majority of the year because isiah didn't want to play him and he just wasn't fitting into the mix, he would play one game and then the next game he would be in a suit and then some games he would play a few minutes and be on the bench the entire second half in favor of marty collins or nate robinson. There was talk about isiah saying steve should just stay away and allow the younger players a chance to get some of the playing time. He played more under larry brown than he did under Isiah who frankly didn't want to play steve.
