office politics (or maybe I should say court politics) is office politics, no one should be stupid and say "we hate you Steve, and I don't want you to come back." Even Steve's enemy would say some good words at this time, but who knows it's just politics.
In fact, SF was traded before and has very little playtime this season are all because of one reason-- he is not able to pass the ball well to Yao. This is cruel since he and Yao are good friends. But reality is a reality.
Going forward, the only job Steve Francis will ever have at the Toyota Center is cleaning its toilets.
What are you talking about? In the limited time he got, he was probably the best a getting the ball to Yao. They have great chemistry together. Their pick and roll was just as effective, if not better than the Yao/Tmac Pick and Roll. There were plays where he knew Yao would be and found him for the easy bucket.
He'll be back....he sure wont be the freak he used to be, but he will be back. feels like yesterday...
what about the other games he played in? i personally thought he did a good job on passing to yao. whether it is from penetrating and dishing, or just standing and making an entry pass.
Other games? He didn't get many playtime in other games! Those several games that he started are the last chance that coach A gave him, and he screwed up! BTW, I think it is a mistake for SF to come back the rockets. He might get a better opportunity in another team.
If it wasn't for Vince Carter, Francis would've won that Slam dunk contest hands down. His jumping ability and tricks for a guy that small is really amazing and not done since. Remember that dunk in the first / 2nd round where he caught the ball behind him and brought it all the way back for the dunk ?!!?? "Now that was a dunk" Kenny smith - nba 2k8
They can rebuild Steve. However, they cannot re-wire his brain to think like Steve Nash. They can dumb him down a bit, though, by removing part of his brain. Then, we can send electrical impulses to Steve's brain...which will direct him to play the way Adelman wants him to play. We will make him a living robot. A 2.4 Ghz quad core CPU embedded in Steve's brain (in place of existing brain matter) being fed instructions from Adelman via a small input device wrapped around Adelman's arm and used during gameplay...will greatly improve Steve's play on the court by forcing him to do what Adelman wants him to do. lol
His only bad games were those two starts, and to be fair, that was when the entire team sucked ass. Yes, he did get decent playing time in "other games". After the Suns game, he was in the rotation. Played very well until he hurt his tailbone against the Warriors. Couple games later was when he got those starts.
I want him back, why not? If he is healthy, he is on a very cheap contract and provides another option for Coach A. DD
francis being out for the season is a double edged sword. on one hand it's great that he cant ruin the chemistry, on the other hand we have to keep him for another year because we havn't seen him play bad enough to trade him. i stick by what i've always said since we acquired francis. he's not going to fit here.
I really hope Steve could retire as a Rocket. So sad he can not contribute this season, which might be a very special one IMO.
he said he will be back he is able to be back I believe he'll be back no matter this or next season I'll be waiting.............
