He needs a fresh start somewhere if he's going to resurrect his career. New York w/Isiah and Brown and Stephon is too acrid an atmosphere for
serves him right. stevie francis is a whiny ass b****. he'll **** a whole city over (vancouver) and then complain when he's in a little bit of a rut. what a ****ing b****.
I totally agree with 3814 on this. I am Vancouverian too and I was excited to see Vancouver finally got the NBA franchise...... but the GM Stu-pid Jackson and Coach Moron Winter had to screw the whole franchise up PLUS SF childish unprofessional rejection to play. No Vancouverians will ever forgive all these 3 people forever.
So are you a rockets fan or a grizzlies fan? A rockets fan would have been ecstatic to see steve go to houston.Post this in the Grizzlies fan forum.
Well it's NBA Dish. It's about putting yourself in others' shoes. Imagine Yao refused to play for Houston, and instead demand a trade to go to New York because it's a larger market. I disagree with how 3814 chooses his words, but I can imagine the sentiment.
this also validates that Rudy T was such a great coach, every player loved playing for him.. except pippen.
Seems like Steve is enjoying a good night against the Cavs: 4 REBOUNDS, 2 steals, 5 assists, rebounds are a big thing for him, guess it's more time to have the ball in his hands, which leads to him being more in tune with the game. They'll probably lose the game though... Oh well.
I am a Rox fan back when I was watching Hakeen won the Championship and owned Robinson and Shaq. But why can't I complain when I finally got a home team to cheer on but SF and those ppl screwed it up and eventually took it away. And because I am a Rox fan, I LOVE to see SF go because all those years SF was in Houston, he didn't do jack **** to improve his skills or play smarter to help win games.
It's different. T-Mac did stay in Orlando and brought them to playoff couple times. It's not like SF who never gave a fricking chance to Vancouver.
i actually try to keep my composure as much as possible...and believe me, this type of reaction is out of the ordinary. but the "vancouver grizzlies" wound and everything associated with the pain of losing the team is still quite sensitive. steve francis is one of those things that are associated with the wound, along with stu jackson, michael heisley, brian winters, bryant reeves, and a few others. the rockets almost lost their franchise a few years ago - many of you probably have frustrations (though not as bad because houston kept the team) with many of the people involved at the time. put yourself in my shoes and then realize that i have the right to be quite angry with steve francis and the way he pissed on my team, my city, and myself. (note...it took two or three years after the grizzlies left vancouver before i was able to enjoy basketball again. the houston rockets are, probably because of this board, now my favorite team and unless vancouver gets a team again sometime in the future i don't see that fact changing.)
This is the crux of his emotional outburst. It is now sinking in; how good he had it in Houston and well as Orlando. He was so consumed with being the man rather than being a winner. It is all begining to dawn on him. He is not crying because of the loss - it is more of tears of hopelessness - seeing nothing but bleak future. More like the story of the prodigal son - the difference in his case is that he does not have sole power to return back to papa. He has the big contract. Money would have not been the problem.Hopefully he gets another chance to regain his status.
F*** MICHAEL HEISLEY. He sang the Canadian national anthem during that season opener, AND then proceeded to move the team not long after. we lost
