Mobley IS one of the premier perimeter defenders in the league. hes francis without the dribbling skills. he has a lot of heart and fire. i believe he is leader.

Does he really make that much? Well at least its not 12-16 mil

Some of you guys are living in the past. The francis you remember is gone and has been gone longer than orlando tmac. Francis has declined pretty rapidly over the last few years.

He may not be as athletic as he was, but he is still pretty effective. Did you watch his last few games of the season?

Even if he was still even remotely effective as a starter still than he wouldn't have struggled to get minutes on a bad orlando team and a bad knicks team.

What are you talking about? He played nearly 40 minutes a night for the Magic before he was traded. The reason his minutes declined in NY is because of all the injuries. Not including the infamous migraine year, he never had any real injuries before in his career and was always viewed as a very tough and durable player. The Knicks used him when he was available.

Ok, I was off on the magic minutes but remember him being shipped out cause he was being a cancer and was a bad influence on nelson.

I thought he was traded because they decided to rebuild and wanted Jameer to get more minutes.

Than and he was a cancer with a bad attitude. Remember him refusing to go back into a game or something like that with the magic?

He didn't handle the situation well but it all started with that complete bonehead Weisbrod traded Mobley for freakin Doug Christie and consequently ruining the season. Mobley was only averaging 16 PPG and shooting 47% from 3-pt range.

Luffy, I think we can accurately predict anything else you might say in this thread and thus you no longer need to participate in it. Thanks for contributing!

Always glad to contribute! Some people need some sense talked into them cause they're living in a time warp and think Francis can actually add something positive to this team. We already have our star pg and his name is Vspan!

I wouldn't call 43, 47, 45 and 47 minutes in his last 4 games rotting away on the bench.

    11, 13, 11, 11

The number of FT attempts for Francis during that four game stretch. But no, we have no use for him...right?

Besides T-Mac, I doubt we had another perimeter player with that many free throw attempts all year.

If New York wants to buy Steve Francis out, what might be a good timing for them?

    Pre-draft?
    July?
    Before training camp?

    Thanks.

I don't know. I hope they cut him, but I just don't see any reason for them to do it unless he takes less money in a buyout. He may not be worth his contract playing, but he definitely isn't worth it playing for someone else.

Is it not fairly obvious that he said "perimeter player" to exclude yao and perhaps juwon, thus only speaking about out 1,2,3 players? Because of this, why did you have to mention Yao? Filling space?
