He ain't the franchise anymore or a star for that matter but if healthy he could be very useful.

He is the strongest guard on the roster so when he goes to the rack with guys swiping at him he can get his shot off.

In the words of the slightly homo NBA analyst Tom Tolbert "look at that body that guys built like a tank"

You don't know that. In fact nobody knows what we got till he gets back in the weight room, works out his legs on the vertical jump machine, goes through the summer, and starts training camp. He could very well be Stevie Franchise again. Nobody knows. That's the big question mark.

We definately could use a healthy Francis in the playoffs. When the rest of our offense stagnates and T-Mac isn't taking it strong to the hoop having Francis come out and get things going with some tough drives would be perfect. Unfortunately I don't think there is a healthy Francis.

I was in Vegas this weekend and ran into Steve Francis at the blackjack tables at the MGM Grand on Friday night.

My buddies and I were wondering why he was in Vegas the night before the game. We thought he might at least sit in street clothes on the bench to support the team.

I went up to him to play - but he was slumming it on the $25 table at single-deck blackjack. I decided to forgo joining him.

He had a white hat on with the brim really low... obviously not wanting to be recognized.

We kept an eye out on the bench all night long and never saw him.

We're going to the games tomorrow and will definitely be looking for him...

Who cares, I could care less if Yao was at the game. For that matter Francis. The only one that should have been at the game is Alston since he's going to be playing some later on.

^^^ um, no. He is still on our roster, still apart of the team. He should have been there for support. I was injured my junior year of high school and even though I didn't have to go on road games, I did. I would sleep through some saturday morning practices but c'mon, we talkin bout practice; practice! Steve needs to be there and I also believe he can come back from his injury and be a big part of this team.

I hope he was there but I doubt it. Rafor and Yao were at the end of the bench in plain sight. Where else would Steve be? Chillin with the fans, Les Alexander and Morey? Most likely he was in Vegas playing blackjack if the post from above is the truth. He should be on the end of the bench with Yao and Rafor, period! Not being there makes me think he isn't going to be here next year and I'm really hoping he can make it back and take his starting spot back for next year.

Lets be honest here. What does it matter if he's on the end of the bench or not. Who cares except fans like you.

This isn't even about the fans its about the team! BTW, there should be alot more fans like me and less fans like you that think it's not a big deal to miss a playoff game even if your injured the rest of the season. Carl Hererra was ther every game to support us in '95 and got a ring. Did Maxwell ever get his '95 ring?

Well here's betting that Franchise knowing him, was sitting up in a skybox watching the game and drinking champaign. But...he was at the game.

Nobody in this league can make Luther's decision-making look like Jason Kidd's.
