What's funny is me and the other 750 people who viewed this thread where getting our hopes up that Francis would be able to play in the playoffs.

Thats how banged up we are, just hoping anybody can come back and help.

The 2 guys we need step up in the playoffs are Kirk Snyder and Mike James. Why isn't anyone talking about them?

75% Ruptured Pateller Tendon might just make a dent in your ability to cut and get to the basket. He was a step slow. Remember what T-Mac said in the Preseason?

Partly true. In the few games that he played, he made good decisions and created good plays for teammates. He was actually pretty effective coming off the bench for Rafer Alston. However, when Alston went down with a temporary injury and Steve was forced to start, for some odd reason that was when he started to stink it up. You could see that when he started instead of coming off the bench, he somehow forgot how to handle the ball and pass the ball  . And so in the three games that he started, we lost all those games. But in a bench role, he was doing some good things for us.

I thought he was starting to come around. He wasnt good as the starter, although he never got to play in the games after the 15-17 record. I'm not sold on him being done, unless the injury keeps him out. IF he recovers, I'd be interested at seeing what he can do. We know he can penetrate and get to the rim and that can only be a good thing to bring off the bench.

Steve's biggest problem was psychological. He was too afraid of Adelman banishing him to the bench again to get into his game.

Ye Probably, but I'm giving him credits for returning to the rockets. He turned down on better contracts for us, which IMO was a very classy rocket thing to do.

When he was a commentator alone with clyde, you can sense that he is working himself back up. He stated that he'll stay in the rockets (he won't be accepted anywhere else anyways at the moment), and if he gets healthy again. I love to see a T-mac Yao Francis combination.

Yeah I just can't wait to see the Rockets next year with Tracy, Yao, and Steve Francis all on the floor at the same time. I think Steve is a still a potential All-Star, just like a couple of years ago when he played for the Magic. If he becomes healthy and adapts to Adelman's system that would definitely help us. I really hope he fully recovers and brings his best game next year.

Steve Francis is a really old and weak last year's Bonzi. Sure Stevie was like the king of Rockets back in the day, but he was also a huge ballhog. Sure, he understands his role this year. But even so, he's been injured forever and if you put him in, the chemistry will completely disappear.

Not only that, but he won't even be in NBA-shape for a while.

We should also give Bobby Sura a call and see if he would be up to playing...

Sad thing is, Francis has gotten as far as T-Mac and Yao has in the playoffs, 1st round and out :( . If you watched that series, you'll remember that the games were much closer than the series outcome. Not bad at all considering that this was the Stevie Franchise Era Rockets playing against a stacked Lakers team.

Now only if T-Mac can play in the playoffs with as much heart and intensity as Francis did in that series, the sky would be the limit for us.

    WE WANT STEVE....AGAIN.........next season.

He was the one-man team. Now he knows he can't compete being a ballhog.

You remember that series like I do. Francis was the best player by far for the rockets. He played great, with alot of heart and if we could get some of that heart with a little more brain from him I would certainly welcome him next year off the bench. I hope he decides he still has something to prove and works his tail off in the offseason.
