People should be more worried about them taking Dunleavy what w/Rudy's irrational love of the white guy spot up shooter.

What makes Iverson a better suited 2-guard than JW?

The fact that JW is a better finisher, who is much stronger/physical?

The only reason why Iverson is a 2-guard is so that he can get some shots off. Other than that, he has not physical attributes that would make him a 2-guard.

Have you noticed that this does not preclude us drafting williams #1, and trading to chi for the #2 for ming. it's relevent ONLY IF ming goes #1.

This is possible, and doesn't mean steve doesn't want ming a rocket (my first double negative in a post:)).

I think this might be the first shot from the rockets front office in the draft/trade craziness to boost their stock even further. He who has knowledge has power, and the rox want no-one to know what they're going to do. They will get who they want regardless, it's just a matter of trying to get a little bit extra too...

Better finisher? I think it is funny that you are already saying an element of Jay's game is already better than Iverson's even though Jay has not even played an NBA game yet.

When Iverson came into the league he started at PG. Jay is going to start at the point also. AI ended up becoming a rare exception as he has shown that he can be effective at the 2. I see Jay staying at the point for his career.

This is just my opinion, i could be wrong.

Without a viable inside threat, even with Williams and steve, teams would be able to defend us the same way, the soft zone. With this so called alignment, we will be back in the lotto and giving it to memphis. The scenerio makes no sense at all.

If the Franchise walked up to Rudy and CD and said "Draft Jay Will so I can play shooting gaurd with mobley off the bech." Do you really think management would tell him that they would rather take a gamble on a giant Chinese man that comes with more strings than a piano?

We would score non stop with that lineup and Rudy knows it.

Actually No I was 2 feet away from my Source and about 10 feet from Steve when he was doing his Last word interview today and if you wanna throw in some more I was about 5 feet away from Tina Thompson....Come to think of it she did have a cell phone on her:rolleyes:

You know while were on the subject 2 other comet players strolled up to pick up some Reeboks and then jetted.

Well, I wanted the long-time, respected posters to come out of the woodwork. I guess you get the bad with the good. Stick around, guys. TroyBaros, you ever wonder why so many of them don't post that often? Or have you lurked around long enough to know anything about that. Look in the mirror, dude.

I have a eral good theory on all this.

Have you guys noticed that we have a LOT more "fans" from other teams around the board? How, apparently, sometimes NBA reps lurk around here once in a while?

WHat's to stop, say, Mark Cuban or Jerry Krause, from coming around here? If the info we get from our 3 main BBS sources are accurate, then why wouldn't it very simply reveal our cards to any GM who lurks around here for ONE day?

Smoke screen. We won't pick Jay Williams.

Also, maybe the reason Steve is a little "touchy" is because he doesn't want to get a SF, limiting T-Mo's minutes? I'm sure why he likes Cato. They have good chemistry together, and if on a competitive team, I'm sure and probably he thinks that he can motivate Cato to play even better ball than last year.

That's my theory. We got 3 varying posts in 2 days. All from good sources. I think there's some serious mind games going on.

This is the single most interesting draft in ages. Mind games galore, potential up the wazoo, but most importantly, flooded with smokescreens.

I, personally, don't think anyone in the top 3 will be wearing a Rockets jersey in training camp.

Alright, you made your point in the cell phone thing.

In all honesty, with all the comedy and humor on the side, you are one of the posters here I can believe with any news that comes from you. I really hope that you misinterperted something he said and all of this will be a OK in the next few days. If not, I guess I will get on the "Dont Drat Ming" bandwagon. But I have one saying that has always stuck to me "Think of the worst and the best will come!". That has always stuck by me except for a few awkward situations.

I don't care how you cut it, unless the rockets can get 3 first round picks out of whoever ala the magic vs gs, i can't see the Rockets not drafting ming. If francis does have that much pull, which i don't think he does, then the cd and rudy should start wearing g strings. I mean he's a good player, but he's no Shaq or anything. If he was to demand something like that, then he needs to be traded somewhere we know he wouldn't get his way. Washington. I'm not going to bash the guy, i just don't think he came down like that.

Troy has 500 posts, so either he is focking with us, or he did hear something; who knos wht was the truth or what he was meant to hear.

As for all of you that are sick of Steve's **** (manny  ); live with it. NO matter what happens, he's our franchise. Heck, if it were up to me, Stevie would shoot 22 times a game, ala Iverson.
