First of all, I can see where TroyBaros is coming from. One would never want to reveal their source. People are greedy and would rather not let people share sources. Sources are like wives. They're your own, and you don't want to share it (unless you're a swinger.) But you ask yourself this, what is so private about this? Is your source the janitor to Scott Layden's office? Is your source the cook for Jerry Krause?

Also, where is Steve's Storefront We R One? I think I know where it is.

I want somebody to look bad. I rather have TroyBaros look bad, but I would want the masses to look bad.

See Ya. Franchise to LA for Odom & # 8. Fair. Better if we get Dooling, or Kandi, with contracts to match, too.

    Mooch, ?
    Mobley, Torres
    Odom, Rice, Tmo
    Griffin, Taylor, KT
    Ming, Cato

+ # 8! You should be able to parlay that into a decent pg. Maybe even unload someone extraneous.

    Buh bye.

Not that I think this is real. But big for small, can't pass it up, dude! Odom/pick for Franchise is easy easy easy.

After the draft, NBA.com held a pathetic little chat with Steve. During the chat someone asked Steve if he would mind playing the 2 guard. Steve's response was "We already play the 2 guard, me and Cuttino".

Lets see yeah I am a liar I guess what Steve was sitting behind was his closet....Uhhhhh whatever.

Sorry but I am sticking by my source ,and for those looking for Steve's Store he is part owner with Nick and Sam C.
Athletes and several NBA and NFL players wear this clothing line as well as me.....So you people wanted to know my source this is about as close as your gonna get to it.

I love this I have been called a Liar,a joke, and now I am getting threats if I am wrong?

SORRY but come draft day Ming might wear a Rockets hat for about 5 minutes or not at all.

Do you not see what the Rockets are doing...They get this MING hype up and every Chinese fan of Ming rings the phones off the walls wanting season tickets, In turn they put up a deposit or whole amount and they are stuck.

This Ming is yet another soon to be failed marketing ploy to sell more season tickets.

You think Rockets will refund their money if Ming's not a Rocket?
    Hardly.
But keep up the post I like this interesting reading but be warned any threats I will document.

    Troy,

You are one of the most arrogant people on this BBS. I mean, my god, if you are so sure of your sources, why don't you just sit back and get the last laugh when your 'scoop' becomes fact?

While people calling you a liar isn't exactly classy, you have to expect these kinds of posts when someone with no established history of being able to scoop news stories with reliable sources posts such a bold statement.

While I definitely hope your rumor is false for the sake of the franchise and the fans, I hope now even more that it is wrong just because I want to see your arrogant ass eat some crow. Saying that a rumor a close source of yours told you is going to happen 100% for sure is just plain stupid, no matter how good your source is.

    junior member here.

i'm not gonna call TB nothing. he either have some vital info or he's got our n*ts in a vice. either way, just take it w/ a grain of salt.

as for the people that all of a sudden become francis bashers, y'all are the worst kind of fans EVER. you bash him on some info that is not even official. this is the same kind of thing like the people in phoenix that bashed and wanted jason kidd out of phoenix for hitting his wife. he apologized and went to therapy meetings and they still ousted him. well guess what, they were in the same room as we were during lottery time. y'all will take any piece of garbage if it is wrapped in gold foil. francis hasn't done anything to this franchise except being an all-star PG and one of the best players in the league. and y'all read some apparent inside info and bash him? i wish TB's info is false so y'all can turn around and kiss Francis' a$$ afterwards like nothing happened.

as for TB's info, take it w/ a grain of salt--no more no less.

    rant over.

HA! So I wasn't the only person who thought that way about Stevie's quote after all....

Anyway, I can tell you all what's probably going to happen on Draft Day: We'll all be shocked as hell.

I too doubt the veracity of your sour Troy. No disrespect intended, but it doesn't make sense.

As others have stated, taking JW mean either Stevie: A) losing his ever-so-precious PG slot, or B) screwing his best friend out of his starting spot.

Further, threatening to bolt to NYC is a hollow and lets the Rocks management have him by the cahoneys. NYC has zero cap space now, so unless the Rocks facillitate a trade and pick up more trash from the NY Pricks (sorry, Glen Rice was plenty), then Steve will have to take the mid-level exception and thus, give up his Bird rights. Therefore, he wouldn't be able to get a max contract for another 3 years.

Sorry, anybody that refers to himself in the 3rd person as much as Steve likely has much to big of an ego to be anything less than a max salary player :D

I was gonna pass on this. But this is the stupidest thing I've heard even on a BBS. No successful organization should count on long term success based on conning/misleading people. I am sure Rockets is wise enough. Ming fan's fire can easily turn on Rockets if that's what they plan to do--sooner or later, truth will be out.

A lot of BS has been around these days, fans need info, writers need make a living, teams jack for position.

As for Ming, he strike me as much imroved comparing to his last action I saw:Olympics. For his own benefit, he should probabily not go number 1, so he can quietly learn the game without all teh people on his back. But, kwame Brown can go #1, MIng probabily can also. ranting aside, it all goes down to whether Rockets like him as a player or not, all the other blocks (as far as I read now) can all be cleaned up if they realy want him.

    Just a though.

CD, the master of "the deal." Go get 'em CD! This is going to be fun to watch. We might actually get an inside close up to see how CD puts together such excellent deals.

Troy, you're only a puppet of CD's deal-making, and he will get everything he can out of this #1 pick. If he really wants Ming, he might get something from Chicago, and get some of the various Chinese factions to get in line so they don't kill the golden goose. He's got to figure out if there's anything better to be had than Ming, and if he wants that instead, watch him get something from more than one team, as he slides downs the draft. This should be impressive. Its his moment to build the future for the Rockets.

As far as manipulating Chinese fans, that's really crude of you to say. The Rockets are a lot classier organization than to pull that kind of stunt. You insult us all with statements like that. Now, would they be willing to manipulate the other GM's to get as much out of this draft as possible ... absolutely!

Good Grief, Troy. Get over yourself. You are being played, especially if you have true inside info, which wouldn't surprise me at all. But, if you had any class, you'd use your inside info to make friends on this BBS, not stick it in everyone's face. In what should be your moment of gaining respect in this community, you are offending everyone with your trash talk and braggado, and making sure they remember how offensive you are, to the point no one will care what information you have. We aren't reacting negatively to your inside information, but to how disrespectful you are telling it.

And, by the way, Francis reads this BBS, too...

Yep and a few others read it as well....
I do not post to make friends I could care less who is my friend on here. I post because this is a great BBS to read and Debate not make friends.

I am not here to sing cumbaya,I am here to express my opinion and give people who are interested in listening what I know.

Amazing how many people joined the BBS ever since Ming became a topic.
Where were you guys last season?

This may or may not be true, but it does go against everything we know about Steve.

    1) He wants to play the point
    2) He believes Cat is the answer at 2

There are other minor things, but it wouldn't make sense for him to want Jay Williams.

Dangerous and disturbing this puzzle is.

    So your prediction is?

    1) That J Williams and Francis will both be Rockets on Opening Day?
Very doubtful because that doesn't help the front court/defense situation.

    2) That the Rockets will trade the #1 pick for a significant trade package?
Very possible because there seems to be some interest from other teams in moving up. Whether Steve warned/hinted would be immaterial if the offered trade package was a sweet deal that knocked the socks off of Rudy, Les and CD.

If #1 comes to fruition, then you truly have inside contact.

If #2 is the result, then your prediction will be regarded as much more dubious because of the stellar trade that the Rockets made. If the trade package that the Rockets get for the #1 is quite paltry, then you will probably get credit for Francis forcing the Rockets hand..........yet the Rockets taking a poor trade for the #1 pick (because of Steve) is detrimental to the future of the Rockets which includes Francis. That is not long-range thinking on Francis's part.
