@RobMahoney: How is the reported Steve Blake trade legal? Salaries dont match, Lakers don't have TPE, and Brooks can't be traded with another player, no?
Steve Blake is okay. He isn't going to propel the Warriors to the top 5 teams in the West. He was a solid back up 4 years ago lolol
Answer to the tweet I posted above @TimBontemps: My guess? Blake into large trade exception Warriors have, then Brooks/Bazemore into one created by trading Blake.
But how can you trade Brooks in a package when he just got traded? I thought you can only trade a player who you recently traded for ONLY by themselves
I wonder if the league won't approve the trade. There has to be more to this trade then what's been reported. You can't trade Brooks in a package including another player
off the top of my head..Kobe, Meeks, Johnson, Young, Brooks, Henry maybe they think one of those guys will finally get it under the tutelage of Kobe
They traded for Kobe impersonator Marshon Brooks. Marshon Brooks can further improve his Kobe impersonation skills by practicing and playing with Kobe on the same team.
Should give them a few more wins. The Warrior's missing piece was having a point guard off the bench. Tony Douglas and Jordan Crawford were not it. Bazemore and Marshon Brooks are scrubs. Blake can also switch to play shooting guard sometimes. This is an example of the Lakers giving away something for nothing in return.
