He plays more a Grant-Hill sort of style. Can flat out score, provide solid rebounding and average play-maker (although Grant Hill would have the edge here). What we need is to put Stevie as the SG with Cat moving as the 6th Man on the bench. And put Moochie as PG and instruct to push the ball upcourt and set up the offense. And most IMPORTANTLY, give the damn ball to YAO Ming and let him be the FOCAL point of the offense. Stevie should realize by now that he can't do it all himself and expect to win. He is no HAKEEM who can carry mediocre teams to the play-offs until the right roster mix is achieve to win championships. We need some veteran leadeship, too many schoolboys treating H-Town basketball with disrespect.
just for clarification, the above post was in regards to the post that someone put up the had the stevie pic next to the van exel one. while it is frustrating to watch the stagnant offense and one on one play that is often generated by franchise, he is arguably one of the top 6 or 7 all around players in the entire league, and you just dont trade those types of dudes. im still optimistic in my belief that he will develop into a true pg, who gets his team involved thru the simple and timeless art of "passing the damn ball"! i think that he has the potential to become a magic johnson type guy, who just did it all. a renissance man of basketball. i guess that would make ming our kareem. id take that!
Steve is the leader of this team and is a perennial all-star. He will eventually be one of the greatest players in Rockets history and perhaps the NBA........oh wait....I shouldn't be here....my bad ya'll......sorry......
