You need to chill out. My opinion won't change a thing in the case, its for discussion. They got charged with rape, they are guilty, the good guys win.

    So cool your jets, guy.

Just trying to win an Internet argument. After yapping out of his/her ass, the poster is making their last stand. Gotta be right about something.

and you really think this situation calls for her being punished for underage drinking? if that's true then... wow.

There's nothing I desire more then to win an argument on a message board.

Well if it were me I would charge:

The coach whose house it was.
The parents whose house they took her to.
The rest of the kids in the video.
    And her.

The article on espn.com says they're looking into charging more, so I'm assuming a few of those mentioned will be charged. The girl probably won't be, but if I had my way I would have charged the kids as adults, but that's too mean nowadays.

I never said they were the same thing, referring to the victim. I said the rapist should be tried the same way a murderer would.

its hard for people to discuss these issues in the same thread where they are talking about the case. i ran into the same issue in another thread in the d&d. of course the girl shouldn't be at a party passed out drunk with a bunch of horny boys around. you just won't get a reasonable discussion in this thread about it because everyone is gonna get on their high horse and say you are blaming the victim. everyone feels the need to prove there moral authority on message boards in situations like this.

Thank you! I'm pretty sure JD88 knew everything about the story when the links and news article was already in the thread to begin with and I'm sure this dumbass was aware of that... JD88 trying to cover his own tracks when few members on here called his ass out.

Maybe if you'll stop trying to get the last word... there wouldn't be so much irony in that statement.

So only I am trying to get the last word in? Just me? Am I allowed to reply?

I didnt follow the story, I knew this was a national story when I saw it again today. I don't particularly care about the story honestly.

Again, she was unconscious, its rape. Try them as adults, everybody wins.

Anyone that tries to put blame on the victim for this happening is just as twisted as the people who raped her.

There is no justification to rape someone.

Not sure why people bashed this post. Anyone who thinks this girl isn't somewhat to blame for what happened to her is wrong.

The guys are more to blame but she deserves some blame for the situation which was unfortunate

She deserves about as much 'blame' as someone who gets killed by a drunk driver because they weren't wearing their seatbelt.

    Pretty much.

If you're drunk to the point where you can't remember anything(lot of folks brag about this) you deserve some blame for putting your self in the situation where you can't control your actions or remember anything from the night before.

If they drugged her I agree she doesn't deserve any blame but if she was just wasted from drinking too much some blame is on her.

If she wasn't drugged then I'm blaming her for being unconscious and making a bad decision to go with the guys.

Don't see what the problem is

I can't believe people are really trying to say this girl deserves blame for this happening.

I wish I could slap some sense into people at times.

Raping someone when they're unconscious is deviant behavior. I'm sorry, but that's just not something that one should just accept as a normal risk associated with getting drunk.

This is like saying a pedestrian who gets mowed down by a drunk driver in a cross walk deserves some blame for crossing the street.
