Patrick Patterson n has a very solid up and under move. I only remember seeing it once last season, but there's more to come, I'm sure

Obviously you haven't watched enough. PPat has done plenty of that. Besides, nobody here hates Scola. We are talking about the future here.

That is basically our starting line up for Gasol. That is a stupidest thing anyone can offer us. F*** U DAVID STERNN.

Why didn't the rockets offer a package to the hornets?

Because there was too great of a risk that Chris Paul would not have resigned with the Rockets. Trade away all of those players and then lose CP. That is not a trade that the Rockets would have participated in!

Because they know the Clippers will be Ally Oopp central. Blake Griffen may average 40 points a game, and never shoot a jumper.

So what? Isn't the attraction of getting howard to come here with him just as great?

Paul is not Howard. A trade to get Paul without getting Nene is not even a good trade just by giving up Scola, Martin, a point guard, and a draft pick. I really do not know if we can get Nene if even we get Paul.

If the attraction of playing with Paul is so great, why didn't Howard demand a trade for New Orleans then so he could play with CP3?

Probably only if Orlando let's him walk after this season, but surely they'll try to trade him so they get something in return...and if we had traded for Chris Paul, it doesn't seem likely we'd have assets enough to trade for Howard, too. Or in some scenario, might we have?

Seems as though Howard was counting on CP3 being with the Lakers, and his long-term plan was to join him and Kobe there (I suppose, as one tempting scenario).

I don't give a crap what he wanted.. after the deal was announced. If he was making the deal he should have been in on the deal, he wasn't making the deal he shouldn't have been able to kill the deal after it had been announced. That's the pisser.

Because new orleans isnt houston? Houston is a large market and alot of these guys live in houston. Don't get into this bs about players not wanting come here. They would come here if other great players were here. Losing role players doesnt bother me. Paul if was traded here and even without the extension can attract howard the free agent. If not, who did the rockets give up? Lowry? Patterson? Scola? Neither of those guys are in his stratosphere as a player. now I wouldn't have given thos guys up for Gasol, but for Paul i would have.

What I'm saying is that the league had a motive to either keep Paul in New Orleans (to help sell the team) or get him to a big market for a ratings/ticket spike.

Stern had no care for the Rockets here. A huge conflict of interest. I have no doubt he was far more concerned with New Orleans and either of the LA teams, for financial reasons, than the Rockets. That's why he came back with an offer to gut our whole team, including our best prospects...because he knew we would never go for it.

It's just absurd. My interest in the NBA, outside of the Rockets, will soon hit an all time low.
