either way, this thread, BTE's comment and those defending Marbury are giving me a good chuckle.

that was just revenge for the knee to AB's throat. I like that he had no problem saying that to Marbury.

He jumped ship during the lockout. He's still NBA-caliber, imo.

Give the man a break.... Steph loves China, being there and relishing the tranquility.
Not much distraction for him. No New York media frenzy.
You can only have two foreign guys on the team.
There has been a gap of competence.
People are still going to take a look at China regardless.
The Mamba himself, Tracy McGrady considered going to China during the lockout if not for the harsh rules there.

I know what you're saying, don't STOOP so LOW acting like you're king of the world when you've gone from the NBA to winning a local CHURCH league championship. Yeah that'd be a bit ridiculous.

What you're saying is he has MISPLACED pride. BUT, What you're also doing, is inserting potentially FALSE intentions into it. Maybe he wished his dead father could be there?

BUT EVERYONE has FAILED in SOMETHING. EVERYONE has something a level ABOVE them what they "could be" or "should be" accomplishing.

Does that mean you're not allowed to put emotion into something after all the "optimal" pursuits are behind you? Gotta keep beating YOURSELF up about what you DIDNT get?

He'll be back in the NBA. It happens that his team in the championship and can't come back like JR Smith.

Come on man, stop being an idiot. And I can guarantee that you've never been to China. China is an amazing place and a great place to play basketball. The people there are friendly and passionate. Marbury found a new home there and has new friends, people who actually care about him. He's crying because he's in a happy place. Not the player hating, selfish society of America that you come from.

BetterThanEver is the worst hating poster I've seen on the bbs and I've see a lot. His stance on Marbury and the CBA is disgusting.

More apples to apples comparison since he is in Beijing.

    http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-livin...United+States&city1=Beijing&city2=Houston,+TX

A couple of things to call out is that the groceries cost of things that a more westerner focused like cheese, wine and etc. are more expensive in Beijing. Also unlike the U.S. where the qualities of goods are fairly standardized, there are places worse than an Aldi's in China, if you actually go to one of the better super markets, the cost of groceries across the board are very comparable to the U.S. Cost of clothes and leisure items are more expensive in Beijing. The cost of home ownership is ridiculous in Beijing. Transportation, if you don't want to use public transportation is more expensive in Beijing.

In summation, people in the bigger cities in China can live cheaper, but if you really want to maintain a middle class American lifestyle in Beijing or Shanghai, it's probably going to be slightly more expensive than Houston (though cheaper than say New York).

Does anyone doubt possibly playing in China made this basketball player more mature? Would you have him play backup to Dragic right now or keep us

Im high and on my phone ****. What I was trying to say is I rather have him right now as a backup to dragic then that other kid. Stephon can still produce he can fill some leadership role and he can still possiblay in the nba.
