Yea, but is 5-15 really reflective of who we are as a team as he was forced to play two bigs? I guess, we'll know for sure soon.
because people were calling him all sorts of brainless turd, fcking idiot, clueless moron, etc for playing Theis and Wood together…come to find out it’s Stone who loves that lineup this is not a .500 roster
Rumors, yet to be proved. In the meantime he remains the head coach in charge of a 5-15 team, nothing worth any praise.
How in the world was anyone supposed to know that Stone had his hand in lineups?? If that's actually the case the only person that should be apologizing is him.
I mean, the only way we’d know 100% is if Stone confessed which he won’t…this is the 2nd time it’s been reported that Stone dictates or influences lineups U really think this team has .500 talent? GOAT coach Pop has his team at 7-13 about to miss the play-in for a 3rd straight year. He hasn’t done much without Tim Duncan or Kawhi. Steve Nash has his team at the top of the East and could make the finals. Are we gonna act like he’s some good coach? Talent matters Silas has KPJr and his 36/32/62 shooting splits and 47% TS, rookie Jalen Green, and was forced to punt on any type of spacing by playing Tate, Wood, and Theis together. What is a coach doing with the worst backcourt in the league while being forced to play a pre-historic front court?
If the next draft is indeed badass, strike while the iron is hot, 0.50 ball won't mean much. This is the 'sole' time, I would not really mind. Select a front court guy this time.
Lol the post was supposed to be tongue in cheek, as is this whole thread. Hence my OP where I say "a massive 2 game win streak" would be a cause for celebration. Along with others posting "he has a nice smile and a nice hairline." I don't expect anyone to apologize.
Yeha but he only got to where he is now after his job was in jeopardy and after he made adjustments that fans were beggin for, for an entire month. Does he really get credit for that?
season is not lost basically...this is a good year to win it all! but if fans are no good, then its hard for players to do it... be like this
So youre saying you have proof that Stone told Silas he had to stick with the Wood and Theis lineup? show it
By all accounts, Stone and Silas remain close, riding on team flights and evaluating game film together. But Stone is more hands-on than the typical NBA general manager. On one occasion, Stone walked onto the practice court to preach defensive philosophy, sources said, and is known to consult players on tactical improvements. If he were to make a change at head coach, it seems Stone would maintain a similar level of influence over the coaching staff and Rockets' rotation, an increasing trend around the NBA. Multiple sources suggested Lucas as the likely interim head coach in any event Silas is dismissed. Lucas, the longtime Houston assistant and player development lead, is known to hold a particularly strong connection with Stone, and even trains Stone's kids. but I guess you’ll need a recorded confession from Stone…
