If you draft guys in the top 3 they are supposed to be the priority of the franchise.
It's been like that since forever.
You do everything you can for those guys to succeed you put the players around them that fit their respective skillsets

You got a potential superstar scoring 2 guard but you pair him with another scoring guard???

#3 overall pick a 6'11 defensive 3pt sniper. Who gets phased out.

you got them deferring to a guy who threw soup on the coach & left during a game.

Silas soft af I never seen a coach cry as much as him how you supposed to lead a group of men but you crying on camera all the time.

    Guys

Ask yourselves, who else is going to bring up the ball?

Sengun is a good passer but he can't dribble, Green is better off ball, Gordon is a turnover waiting to happen, same for Christopher, TyTy is a rookie and Nix should be a backup to the backup.

So, yes KPJ should be on the ball more. Does he mess up sometimes? Yes. But if you look back when Harden was here, he would turn the ball over a great amount of times as well.

When you are handling the ball 80% - 90% of the times, turnovers will happen.

Lol Luka is inferior Harden. I'm not sure what that makes KPj.

But at least most of the board stopped being angry at the kid who is just doing his job as best he can. As others have said, at this point I think the Rockets understand that Jabari/Jalen are the future and everyone else is a potential trade chip.

Not only do you want to be in a position where you're a contender, but you won't be able to pay everyone. And you need draft capital to consistently reload talent.

that would require more ball handlers and creators on the roster while having a change in offensive philosophy

this team turns it over like crazy and is dumb AF…I don’t see many young, low BBIQ teams running impressive looking offense

Jalen Green has just 3 less total turnovers than KPJ while having nowhere near the ball handling or team creation duties…Sengun hands the ball over to the other team like he’s passing the collection plate at church

There's so much attention on KPJ dribbling the air out of the ball but it looks (eye test) like he plays good defense and is engaged on that end. How much better would our team be if neither KPJ/Green had to initiate the offense and we had a true PG. KPJ/Green can both score off-ball and if the offense breaksdown either one of them can get a bucket.
Our big issue is having either one of them initiate the offense/bring the ball up.

Slide KPJ to 3 spot and get a PG. Id rather expirement with that moving forward.

The season felt less stressful when we were losing

I hear you. But, I think Alperen, when he's ready, get's at least 30-40% of the offense run through him eventually. We're waiting for Sengun to grow up just a little more. And, developing the guards in the meantime.

It's matter of experience and playing time, not approach or playstyle

Not counting defense and experience, lack of an effiicient facilitator is the biggest weakness to the team. I think Green will cut down his turnovers as it is mostly just sloppiness. Porter and Sengun...they are needed to facilitate the offense. Not sure their turnovers will go down without a sharp improvement in their skill at facilitating (or in Sengun case having the ball) or without a personnel change.

I agree that he could be that "when he's ready" but it's just like how Green will take a larger part of ball handling responsibilities "when he's ready".

The issue is as of right now neither are ready.... but they could be before the end of the season.

Sengun is best passer out of his draftclass, he has little to no playing time in the nba with the starters. If he makes them after one-two years of development sure you can label him that. But I saw far more positives with him than negatives

Which I think is why Silas is saying KPJ can have the ball more. Unless we decide to start Nix/JC, KPJ is going to be our PG/primary ballhandler moving forward. We can't give KPJ that much crap(not saying you were) when thats what the coaches are asking of him.
I used to say he would be a good 6th man but I think he would make a pretty good SF for us.

That's what I wish, but not what I believe this front office has in mind.
Maybe the Silas part. But not KPJ

But, a new coach could change his role, if that is what he/she wants to do......I just get tired of all the b****ing about a guy doing his job EXACTLY the way the org wants him to.....could he be better at it....sure, but he has played exactly 1 year at it, and this is a new team, will take some time to get some chemistry....gonna give him time......and enjoy the ride.

AND...AND WE ****ING WON!!!! If you are complaining after a win, something is wrong with you.

What about Giddey makes u think is a better passer than Sengun? Put Sengun as sole ballpasser for a season and he would have most jaw dropping rookie assists since ****ing Magic lol
