The title of this thread should be "DIMG: Captain Jack wants traded to 'any of the teams in Texas', Cleveland, NY + flame on T-Slack"

As someone who lives in the bay area...i see a lot of this guy. Trust me when i say that every single warriors fan i know was very pissed they gave him an extension. This defense is extremely overrated because for the most part he doens't try on d. Sure he can play good defense if he's in the mood.....but thats not very often. Offensively he's the definition of a ball hog and would completely kill the offense. If we were talking about getting him for 2 years at 5 mil a year, thats one thing, but 4 years at 10 mil a year or whatever he's getting, god no

He would be very similar to Artest in that they're both known for their strong defensive, horrible shot selection/streakiness and tendencies to dominate the ball....only in Captain Jacko's case he thinks he's one of those legendary "point forwards". At least Artest had enough sense to not try to act like he's Chris Paul with the ball in his hands.

I'd go for any of those trades. Well, maybe except for the last one, no point in taking both of those players back. Of course, trading for a player like him would only work under the assumption that Mcgrady is done.

He knows what you are talking about? You aren't talking about the same things at all.

He said Jackson didn't exert effort on D and was a ball hog. You said he put up numbers on bad teams.

I am very confident on Sjax habilities, if we can have him i see him as a vital piece for this team to compete.

If McGrade and Landry can land us both him and biedrins that would be great, but if we have to trade tmac only for sjax and magette i take it also, i am sure maggette and battier can get you some serious talent if combined in a trade.

He's getting payed $7 million, which is below his actual value.

I don't see why not get Captain Jack. He plays good defense, willing passer, makes big shots and a great leader.

Just because he plays on the Warriors doesn't mean he sucks.

    20.7 points per game / 5.1 rebounds per game / 6.5 assists per game / 1.5 steals

    Salary: $7,650,000

Take a look at those stats and then correlate it to his salary. This is the kind of production we are hoping for out of Tracy and he only makes less than a third of his salary.

You guys are souring on his FG% too much, he played for the Warriors...a team with no chemistry, a coach that encourages chucking up shots and a team with no heart. Put him together with Adelman and Houston (also known as his birth place) and see what he can do.

It would be amazing to watch both Tracy and Jack on the court together.

We have to make some kind of trade with all the people and contracts we have now so this would be a good one to me. Get jackson in here

Although I like him, I won't do that trade. Jackson has 4 years contract left. His last year salary will be more than 10 mil. And, he is 31 years old now. I don't think that is a good trade for the rockets.
