I would have loved to have him back when TMac and Yao were healthy...or even when Artest was here(though that would have been too much crazy.), but right now he wouldn't make enough of a difference for the Rockets to tie up future cap space.

If he's still available by the trade deadline and the Rockets are in contention then I see him as real possibility.

I'm on board. Jackson is an all around guy. Not sure how much longer I can watch Battier play.

Yes, please. Captain Steve Jack's a warrior on the floor, son grew up hard in the Golden Triangle. The OG would bring a swagger to arguably the league's least intimidating roster... he would like nice in the starting 5. He gets buckets, and doesn't back down from anyone. He would be a great compliment to Martin.

He always gonna have his teammates' back. That's how he is. What happened in Indy was the pass. Lowry was being push around last night, elbowed in the head one play. Even Granger look like he wanted to do something. If Jackson was there he would've been in his mug.

But really, he seems like a pretty down to earth guy off the court.

Cleverly disguised "let's post this so we can identify all the dumb people who will say let's get him" thread.

Scola+ Battier+ Hayes + expiring jeffries+ picks for cap'n jack and Gerald Wallace would be great. (heck I'd do a trade to swap Brooks for Dj Augustine too!)

I LOVE this guy, the Rockets should try to get him here ASAP.

The guy bring s TOUGHNESS, championship experience, plays both ends of the court, and leadership.

One of the most underrated guys in the league for a long time imo. Never gets his credit due to the bad guy label

All hail the intellectually superior AllAroundTheWorld... he's extremely knowledgeable about the game of basketball, and contradictory opinions to this basketball God are frowned upon. He knows everything, you know nothing.

Last season and this offseason everyone was all like "DO NOT WANT." Funny what a few games of watching Battier can do.

Jack would do the exact same thing Ron Artest did when he came to Houston. He would make us a tougher team and will finally get Battier out of the starting lineup. He is another scorer that will do nothing but benifit our team. Please bring him to Houston.
