These look back posts are pretty pointless, if Curry was this good in college he would have scored 100 pts a game.

The reason Curry has become one of the best players in the league has more to do with his character and work ethic, there is no comparison to Steph Curry the rookie vs Steph Curry the superstar 7 years later. This is what makes drafting hard, because you don't know the person's character and work ethic until they start playing. Von Wafer probably has more athletic ability and natural talent than Curry, there's a reason why Curry is making max while Von Hawk is out of the league.

When you realize Johnny Flynn and Hasheem Thabeet were drafted before Steph Curry...

Meh. It still deserves a call out. We as posters are always b****ing at our teams front office when things aren't going well as if we can do better. I found this entertaining

A alot of players aren't built like Hakeem or LeBron anymore so the integrity of the game/rules was changed to benefit such players as Curry. He can shoot no doubt but he is nowhere the player LeBron is.

Both those picks were just bad. Flynn, if memory serves me correct, was projected nowhere near that high. Thabeet was, but teams should have been concerned why he wasn't dominating in college with his size.

Yea, Curry is a fraud. He's only successful because the NBA changed the rule to make him successful. He would be a bench player if he played in the 80's with all the great NBA players like Magic and Bird

Nah, dude. Curry is successful because the NBA changed the rule to make him successful. He wouldn't make it playing in the 1990's NBA

It's not like the 90's people would also be automatically dominant in today's NBA as well. Remember when the Olympic dream team with TD, Iverson, Larry Brown and a bunch of 90's superstars went to the Olympics and got their asses handed to them by European teams? Today's NBA actually took some cues from the Euroball rules back then, nowadays there's a lot less ISOs and more emphasis on team play.

In today's NBA you have to have a working jumpshot and everyone is smarter with technology, if you aren't well rounded and have a fatal weakness offensively you will get punished. 90's people generally played with less talent because the global presence weren't there, and coaches weren't as knowlegeable as they are now they were just figuring out the intricacies of tactics back then so a lot of people who took a lot of mid range Js and inefficient shots weren't really punished. Guys like Karl Malone was hailed as an all star in the 90s would probably suck in today's NBA because all they really knew was to be physical and they had no legit offensive skill.

NBA was always designed to be a non-contact sport, I have no idea why the 80's and 90's had overly physical rules to begin with. It was pretty dumb because there were the concept of fouls but then people were allowed to hit and be physical with opponents without it being called a foul.

yea, 1990's NBA was the worst ever. Bunch of no talent stiff playing. You had games with 70 to 80 points. Basically, everyone tried to be Jordon and dunk, and without any real skills such as shooting.

This truely is the golden age of NBA. This era of NBA is like the 1980's with Magic and Bird.

This is all thanks to Morey and his MIT GENIUS. Without Morey, we would still be watching crap from late 1990's with teams struggling to reach 90 points. WORST ERA ever. but you still have fools thinking no skill basketball = hardcore era

Steven curry is the worst player in nba history. He is media made. Every "record" he has is fabricated by the league. Never seen such an overrated, overhyped, fraud in my whole life. It amazes me that he won an unanimous mvp. Like what board meeting did all the voters have to goto to think this overrated trash should be voted unanimously? he's not even top 5 on any team he's ever been on. All he does is chuck up 3's of of illegal screens.
