Did you really just compare 6'1 Curry to 6'7 Rip Hamilton??

I didn't say he would be a bust either as who knows with draft picks.
I said it with a question mark attached to it.
I am simply saying he will be no help to this Rocket team in any near future.
He can shoot no doubt but his defense is BELOW average. He is not the best ball handler and will have to play the point because of his size in the NBA. At Davidson he played the point but usually gave it up and ran off screen after screen. Did you watch any of his games outside of made baskets on Sportscenter.
I wish Curry well and maybe he will be good, but is he worth giving up Landry on a win it now team? I don't think so.

And yes I know who is father was a 6'5" shooting guard. NOT 6'1".
And Dell was a good player on bad teams most of his career(a few solid teams in Charlotte).
This is what his son will be. A good player on a bad team.

Also pull up Stephen Curry's numbers vs good teams outside of his WEAK ASS conference.
OU he was 12-29 from the floor.
NCST(not a good team) 15-33 from the floor.
    WVU 9-27
    Purdue 5-26
    Butler 6-23

One good game was vs Duke 10-22 from floor.
So he can light up Elon,Wofford, and Ga Southern's of the world.

What makes this guy much better than AJ Abrams who is expected to go undrafted or very late 2nd at best??

    Abrams(BIG 12 tougher competition):
    He is 5'11" PG
    Shot 40%FG and 40 from 3's(made 105 of 265).
    84% FT
    Only avg 1.4 turnovers

    Curry(weak ass conference):
    He is 6'1" PG
    He shot 45% FG and 38% from 3's(made 130 of 336).
    Avg 3.7 turnovers

Not saying Abrams is better BY ANY MEANS. Abrams is slower and a little shorter, but why all the love for one guy and next to nothing for Abrams?
    87% FT

Curry is getting more hype because of who's son he is and the ESPN lovefest with him. Couldn't even get his team in tournament last year.

Lol. Stephen Curry is 6'3" pure shooter with unlimited range and will be somewhat like JJ Redick. Great at off the screens and spot up shots. Will probably be used similarly as Rip Hamilton...

They list him 6'3" on some sites and 6'1" on others see he is probably really closer to 6'1".

And he will never get his shot off as easy as Rip.
AND HE WILL NEVER DEFEND LIKE RIP!!!!

Have you seen the guy play at Davidson? His release is as quick as lightning! Rip could never defend anyways, so that's not saying anything.
Curry will be a good role player in the NBA, not a starter like Rip.

Well I agree with with you on everything and yes I saw him play many games with NCAA package.
I agree Rip can't defend and neither can Curry. His release is ridiculous quick(as is Abrams) but he is a screen runner and not as much a creater like Rip.
I agree that he is a role player on a good team or a scorer on a bad team.
Is that worth Landry to get up there for him is my only question in this thread????

A role player for a role player? Eh. I'd say no. Curry is being way too much hyped up since it's a WEAK draft. -_-

No. He is 6'2 w/o shoes, so that's 6'3 by NBA standards. This is his OFFICIAL measurement at the combine. It doesn't get more official than that. Also, some teams may use him as a PG, so smaller opponents will guard him. I agree with you that he's not that similar to Rip, but it just depends on which team he goes to.

I do agree Curry will be a nice shooter off the bench maybe even similar to a Vinnie Johnson or his dad type comparison.
Nothing terrible about that, but I think he will have to grow into that role over years.
I just think he is going to struggle to find a niche early in his career which is something the Rockets just don't need right now.
Maybe if this were a young team trying to come up and break through like a Blazer team who just has Blake at the PG spot then it would be a nice fit.
Curry doesn't fit here unless you take out one of the 2 PG's and don't resign Wafer.

You were partially right. He is probably best player in 09 but it one of the better drafts ever.

Redick & Curry are both better than I thought they'd be. To be fair, Curry is better than anyone thought he'd be, including GSW who was going to trade him to Phoenix.
