Stephen Colbert - Next host of "The Late Show"

just adding that stephen colbert wasn't that good when he tried whose line is it anyway.

 

Damn, you put in a LOT of work into a list we don't care about.

 

I think he is the best of the basic channel hosts

 

Steven is killing the competition in the ratings, from what I understand. Far out!

 

ive been watching since the show first came on and it seems to me like the ratings boost has coincided with him making the show more like the colbert report. he is basically doing his old show, but w/out the fake persona. and he is a way better interviewer than the others.

another factor probably helping is how bad trevor noah is...people that still want their daily show fix but dont like him can tune into colbert at 10:35. i used to watch jon stewart religiously, but i dont even pay attention to noahs daily show. comedy central f***ed up with that pick. should have given it to larry wilmore or samantha bee.

 

I think Trump was the best thing for him. He is a political host.

Trevor Noah is killing it imo, if John Oliver wasn't so great, people would be talking about Noah more. Larry WIlmore was terrible (as evidenced by his show being cancelled) and I can only tolerate Samantha Bee in small doses. I honestly never regularly tuned in when John Stewart was the host (despite agreeing with him a lot, I just found him to be a really irritating person), but now I'm a regular with Noah at the helm.

 

As bad as Trump is, he's the best thing that could've happened for these folks careers.

 

Haven't watched him in awhile, but damn, he just went in on the trump administration. He held nothing back and cussed with frustration. That was refreshing as his show has become very boring.

Huh, so they're doing them a day late? I've never really watched his show but I might start.

 

Loved The Colbert Report. His current show I can't get into. Find it very bland.

 

His opening monologues have been nails from day one. I rarely watch past the monologue though.

 

He's boring now, ranting about Trump every single episode makes it very stale.

 

Why do you continue to watch?

 

I stopped when it became clear every episode was going to be a diatribe.

 

But youre able to watch Nation Addresses....?
