Russ is a completely defeated player now. On top of his very obvious flaws, he was broken after blowing the layup and then fouling NAW on the 3-pointer.

The only thing that revved him up for a few games was playing the Clippers in the 1st round.

 

It would take ALOT to get me to swear off the Rockets as a die hard lifer.... BUT... if Stone did this I think at this point I might have to do it. I cannot do another trip around the Russ block. Can't do it. Won't do it. Nope. Please god no!!!

If Russ is at the point where hes willing to take the vet min and not be guaranteed rotation minutes, sure id take him. I think as a bench locker room guy, 12th man off the bench, break glass in case of emergency you could do worse. If hes looking to be a regular rotation player (he probably is), nah im good.

As far as Harden, He's my least favorite great all time Rocket... If that makes sense...

But Id take him over Fred. Only thing id be worried about is the defensive identity that Ime has worked so hard to build.

Honestly, Im so excited about the KD trade im not really taking a hard stance on what they should or shouldnt do from here. I think as is we're in a good spot but I wouldnt be upset with some additions.

Yes. Also, KD would never want him here. Russ talked endless amounts of **** to KD when he left for GS, and while they may have buried the hatchet on that, something tells me it's more of a "Yeah, we're cool in social settings" and less of a "Let's team up and win a chip together".

100% NO. Would ruin the chemistry and take the focus off of youth and development. It would be all about Durant and Westbrook, and the old stories about how they're friends or not. KD's the big news obvious (as it should) but the big story is still about the young kids. Sengun and Amen is the main storyline of the Rockets right now.
