i think the rumor lost its legs last week, but suddenly it resurfaced again (maybe dumars talked to ESPN about it just to pressure morey)

See I think that was true of the JVG team that played Utah. But at the beginning of this calendar year we weren't playing to our peak and still winning. It wasn't until Yao went out that the rest of the team had to play so much higher than they normally would.

I can understand the perspective, I just think the glass is half full rather than half empty.

Because Yao Walton IMO doesn't have as large of a window as everyone thinks!

Why do you care about money that isn't yours and take the moniker of the guy taking the most money and hurting our future with a paycheck that has not warranted the second round EVER?

Proof that Rip is off limits?

And even if Dumars said it he has to be willing to give up more than he prefers......thats why we should make this hard for everyone involved instead of for the only LOYAL ones in this supposed situation.....the ROCKETS organization.

If what Tracy did is true, that pisses me off. He wants to win? What the freakin hell Tmac? You only have the best center, and I know he gets injured, we won 22 straight, and you want to win? If what he says is true, I feel a bit betrayed. The Rockets have done a lot for him, his ups and downs, when he said he wasnt having fun anymore, and the organization stuck by his side. IF what he said is true, then I have no qulms trading him to Detroit for the right combo. No freakin Billups, no way I want him.

T MAC1 the rumor still exists because your BOY opened his big selfish mouth!

Did he talk to the rockets organization before adding to all this CONTRIVED crap.....or did he feed into by not refuting it?

again, this controversy is the same thing that happened last yr when we all SPECULATED with no actual quotes from tracy (then those speculation became tracy is faking injuries, he wanted to sit out b/c the team sucked and he didn't like his teammates...). so again, take what SAS said with a grain of salt.

    plus, marc stein reported this:

    • People Who Know on both sides of the Tracy McGrady-to-Detroit speculation insist there is nothing to it.

use your common sense for once. i'm sure people like you love to read gossip magazines and believe all of those garbage right?

has tmac spoken out yet? has morey or dumars even have a deal in place (hell, both denied publicly they haven't talked to each other in a while.

this whole thing is from ESPN stephen A smith. do you know his history?

More like thanks to Stephen A Smith. He's probably doing Dumars a favor by getting McGrady involved and keeping the rumor alive. I wouldn't expect Yao to refute a rumor of him going to Cleveland. I would expect him to say like McGrady that he is happy here but if he were to be traded he be ok with it.

So are you saying that TMac did not say any of this?

I hope you're right because if not it may lay the groundwork for shipping his selfish butt out of town......

Stephen A Smith is a joke I know and I've seen his act....but I do believe any one that talks to him knows he is going to take the ammo and make it explode!

Do you doubt that they talked at all?

If they did talk don't you think Tracy could have said I don't know anything about that and I love the team I am with and elaborate on those he is loyal to?

Is that professional unlike Stephen A Smith or did he give in to the punk because when it comes down to it his interests are first?

I know he wants to WIN....how about saying "if we are healthy we can beat any one in the league" like you believe it? If he doesn't believe well he is our biggest bargaining chip......we make the terms, not him and not Dumars.

seflish; punk ;) now i know you're reaching son. just spew that hate. i know that feels better doesn't it.

tmac could have just said, "i'm happy in houston" to SAS and that still meant he talked to him and everything else could be "implied" according to SAS and he put them in his journalistic ways. take a journalism class. you can take one quote from a person and say anything you want.

yes it's since the 12th, but are you telling me it's not anything more than speculation still?

but hey, rumors are what make the offseason. sometimes the real trade happens when you don't hear much about them (like brand to sixers out of nowhere, maggette to warriors, or camby to clips).

the rumors that go out of control usually have 1% chance of happening.

I hate how we have paid him with no results outside of the first round....11 seasons dude.....guy is great when he's great but he has not been great enough when its counted most. Sad but true.

Its about the team we have not a player no offense to your boy.

Do you think he could have been more professional if it did happen like SAS says?

so you must also hate yao with a passion? he's played here for 6 years and we haven't gotten out of the first round. and he's been more injury-prone?

tmac was professional. he said he was happy in houston. he also said many times he wanted to end his career here WITH HIS OWN MOUTH (that you can quote him with).

whoa whoa whoa..slow down there..makin way too many assumptions..im not even goin to respond to half the things u've said..

chi and pmac have pretty much answered alot of it...but lemme ask this, HOW MANY more chances/excuses are you gonna alllow tmac? his time here is done...its time to try another gameplan since he's not goin to get any better due to his degenerating conditions

i could care less about big names, big win streaks (half of which was with Yao), and 55 regular season wins..im talkin about championships or even gettin out of the 1st round at least

I HAVE LOYALTY TO THE ROCKETS NOT ANY PLAYER and I would hope the guys the Rockets pay money to could have the same LOYALTY and not feed into speculation that could rub the MGMNT they should be loyal to wrong in anyway.

SIMPLE......"I play for the ROCKETS thats all I care about"....this stuff probably happens everyday. All I can concentrate on is doing the best I can for the Rockets!"........Not I'll go to any where that I CAN TO WIN......if thats the case take a pay cut and give us our third scorer......thats not whats happening here and hasn't happened any where he has been.

His PROFESSIONALISM is what the Pistons should be looking at through this predicament......was he loyal to his team or did he air out his own interests?

wow, you must be a kid that still lives in a fantasy world. you do know the best player to ever wear a rockets uniform DID NOT retire as a rocket right? you do know dumars is flinging billups out there like a piece of meat right now right? and he's their former finals MVP.

it's a BUSINESS. i think you haven't been out to the real world. there is no loyalty in here. it's about making money to the owners AND athletes. get that to your head and maybe you'll wouldn't spew these nonsense again.

    go get a job.

again, i'm fine with trying a new gameplan but we should try to get the best offer we can get from tmac and that includes rip hamilton and i'm sure dumars is not giving it up. morey already said he knows who's available on the pistons and he doesn't want any of them for tracy. as long as we get a better team at the end of the trade, trading tracy is something we all should consider. but we shouldn't trade him just to trade him.

plus, people have said we've given tmac alot of excuses. yao is following the same path tracy is going and hasn't been out of the first round either and is starting to get injured and missing big chunks of games every year? aren't people worried about that? as a rocket fan, I am.
